Stellar's Pov

"Police! Stop right there!" a policeman shouted. The group of policemen had blocked the alley's entrance with their cars; their guns pointed straight at us. I was kneeled behind Cole, so they couldn't see me grab another device from my pouch. Jay and Cole continued to hold their heads in pain as I also reached for my metal cutter from Cole's pocket. I really need to start naming these inventions.

"They must have taken a captive," One police woman spoke once she noticed the cuffs on me and Cole.

"But... I guess she took them down?" Another police woman asked as the group lowered their weapons. They could tell that Jay and Cole weren't much of a threat to anyone right now.

"Ma'am, are you alright?" One of them asked me. I nodded quickly.

"They still have powers, approach with caution," The first policeman stated as the group slowly moved forward. I held both of my inventions tightly behind Cole's back, so they don't suspect anything. After the group took a few steps forward, I sneaked out one of my devices and sprayed a large cloud of smoke towards them. The policemen began to cough as they backed away. I then took this opportunity to use my other device to slice the cuffs off me and Cole.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Getting myself out of here," I replied.
The cuffs dropped with a clank as I started racing out of there. The cloud of smoke will only last a few minutes, so I got to find a place to hide. My feet suddenly stopped once I heard the faint cries of Cole and Jay. For some idiotic reason, my head turned back to see them still on the ground in pain. I smirked. "That's what you guys get," I told myself and kept running, but I felt an odd feeling in the pit of my stomach. My feet stopped again as I heard their cries once more. I growled quietly as I began to ball my fists. "No, don't feel sorry for them. They're nothing but stuck up brats. They'd leave me the first chance they get too. All they care about is their fame. Heck, one of them even has a Chirp account for all his stupid fangirls. There's no way in all Ninjago that I would help them again," I monologued to myself abit. I then remembered what Cole told me this morning.

We don't! It seems like to me you're just trying to shove your hate onto us because you're angry about how your life has been!

I mean, I was angry, but was he actually right? Have I stupidly been furious with those brightly colored ninja just because I was angry and jealous? No way. That's...so...petty....UGH! I slapped myself in the face before rushing back over to Jay and Cole and pulled them both up. "Come on! We only got a minute before our cover vanishes,". The two of them were both still disoriented, but they managed to follow me out of the alley. I led them behind a dumpster as the two basically collapsed on the ground. I looked around to see any police before turning back to them. Jay was still holding his head, while Cole kept his eyes tightly shut.

"You...you came back for us?" Cole managed to say without looking at me. I rolled my eyes before sliding my back down against the building's wall.

"Don't think anything of it okay? I said that I needed you and your team to help me stop my boss, so I couldn't just leave without you," I explained. He opened one of his eyes and looked over at me. Despite whatever kind of pain he was enduring, he gave a small smile. I sighed at that begrudgingly and decided to continue.
"The truth is you were right. I was being petty and stupid with my reason for hating you guys. I judged you all when I barely even knew you. I guess I was actually just....just...". I looked over at him as he raised an eyebrow, waiting for me to continue.
"Ugh, don't make me say it,". His expression didn't change, and I ran my fingers through my hair.
"Fine! I was jealous of you guys! You and your group are just so gifted and loved by everyone!" I almost shouted in his face but remembered that the police were still close by. My head then sank low as I let out another sigh. "I mean no one even wanted me as a kid, so how can it be that a group of teens, wearing brightly colored outfits, could be given so much in their lives? Could you explain that to me?" I asked him. Cole closed his eyes again before working up the strength to speak.
