As they entered the gym, a feeling of complete and utter despair hit them like bricks.
"Why the hell did we have to come here?" Mondo asked angrily.
"Well of course this is all just a big joke for our entrance ceremony," Yasahiro said in response.

Everyone looked at him with a confused look.
"I don't think it's that," Aoi said.
"Yeah she's right," Chihiro agreed.

As the students conversed, Bonamu looked over at Kyoko who was standing astray from the others. She caught him before he could look away and she gave a smirk in return, out of character for a person like her. He then looked at Junko or who everyone believed was Junko. Bonamu could tell something was off though he couldn't quite pin it down.

In mid thought he was interrupted by the sound of a voice erupting into the crowd.
"Are you all here?" The voice asked. "Great! Let's get started."

As the students look at the podium on the gym stage, a figure jumped into the air and landed on the top of the podium. That figure was a teddy bear. Black on one side and white on the other. The eye on the white side was a black circle while the black side had what looked to be a red lightning bolt.

"Good morning students! I am Monokuma the headmaster if Hope's Peak!" The teddy bear said.
"How is that stuffed animal talking?!" Kiyotaka frantically asked hoping anyone could produce an answer.
"I am not a stuffed animal!" The bear answered angrily. "I am Monokuma!"

Everyone looked at each other in confusion.
"What the heck happening?!" Hifumi yelled out in anguish.
"It seems our headmaster is this teddy bear," Celeste responded with her European accent.
"I'm not a teddy bear! I am Monokuma!"
"Oh please. You're obviously a machine being controlled by someone," Byakuya snarled.

The room was full of people freaking out and being confused. All except for Kyoko, who stood strong and cool.

"Now then, I suppose I'll explain the rules to the game we're playing," Monokuma said waddling off the stage. "If you check your student e-handbooks you'll be able to see- AGGH."

He was cut off by Mondo Owatta, grabbing him what was presumed to be his neck but all his fat made it hard to point out.
"Enough with these games you little shit!" Mondo yelled. "Why the fuck are we here and how the fuck do we get outta here?!"
"Violence against the headmaster is strictly prohibited!" Monokuma said before going silent.
"Oh what's wrong? No snarky comment this time?"

The teddy bear went silent, and a beep could be heard from within it. The beep gradually got faster and faster until someone spoke up.
"Toss that!" Kyoko yelled.
"Huh?" Mondo asked in confusion.
"Do what she says!" Bonamu shouted.

Mondo threw the robot into the air. As it hit its peak the thing exploded into little bits and pieces of machinery.
"What the fuck?!" Mondo yelled.

The room was silent for a moment, until the soft voice of Chihiro spoke up.
"That's it right? He's gone now?"
"I think so," Bonamu answered.
"Well thank god! That thing gave me the creeps!" Junko stated.
"Well what a shame. Because I'm still here!" They heard Monokuma say.

They turned to see another one, another Monokuma. He was waddling out of the corner of the gym back to where the students stood.
"Like I said. Violence against the headmaster is a direct violation against school policy. Since I never got to say the rules, I'll let it slide this time," he said.

"Another one?" Makoto said in confusion.
"Yes it seems that way," Celeste said.

"Now please! Let me explain the rules of this killing game."
"Killing game?!" They all yelled.
"Of course! You students will now be participating in our high school killing game!"
"What?! I thought this was all a joke!" Yasahiro shouted.
"Oh quite the opposite," Monokuma rebutted. "The only way to escape this school. Is the kill another student and get away with it!"
"You've got to be joking," Sakura stated with her deep gruff voice.
"Wrong again!" He shouted. "Take a look at your handbooks and go over the rules!"

The student did what they were told and took out their handbooks.

Rule#1: Students may reside only within the school. Leaving campus is an unacceptable use of time.
Rule #2: "Nighttime" is from 10 pm to 7 am. Some areas are off-limits at night, so please exercise caution.
Rule #3: Sleeping anywhere other than the dormitory will be seen as sleeping in class and punished accordingly.
Rule #4: With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore Hope's Peak Academy at your discretion.
Rule #5: Violence against headmaster Monokuma is strictly prohibited, as is destruction of surveillance cameras.
Rule #6: Anyone who kills a fellow student and becomes "blackened" will graduate, unless they are discovered.
Rule #7: Additional school regulations may be added if necessary.

So this is it huh? These are the rules? Bonamu thought to himself.

"So we can kill a student and leave?" Byakuya asked the headmaster.
"Oh no it's not as simple as that. You have to get away with the murder! After a murder takes place, a class trial will be held after the investigation."
"You're wrong!" Makoto yelled. "You're wrong if you think we'll participate in this!"

Monokuma gave a laugh out. Bonamu agreed with Makoto. Participating in this killing game was wrong and they needed to escape as soon as possible. Bonamu looked as everyone"a facing trying to read the room and decide the next move. Most were covered in fear and others were covered in nervousness. Makoto stood tall against Monokuma and Kyoko kept a clam expression on her face as she also read the room. Her and Bonamu made eye contact and nodded in agreement with a plan. As they were about to speak up Byakuya chimed in unannounced,

"Well I'll be leaving then," he said storming off.
"Now where the hell do you think you're going?!" Mondo asked stepping in front of him. "You think I'll just let you go off on your own?"
"Haven't you heard?" He said smirking. "One if you might be planning to kill me already. Now get out of my way, plankton."
"The hell you call me?!"
"One insufficient molecule. Not enough to make an actual human being."
"I'll fucking kill you!"

As Sakura was about to step in, Makoto ran to both of them.
"Stop! We shouldn't fight!" He yelled.
"Oh so you're trying to boss me around?! You think you're my fucking dad or something?!"
"No no I didn't- WHAM.

Makoto dropped down like a dead fly as mondo knocked him out with one swift punch.
"Mondo what the hell?" Bonamu yelled.
"Do you want some too?" He said getting in Bonamu's face.

Compared to Mondo, Bonamu looked like shrimp however he still stood his ground against the mean machine.
"Don't you two have better things to be doing instead of bickering?" Kyoko said with an obviously irritated tone.

Mondo looked over to her, but sighed heavily and walked away. Bonamu gave a nod to Kyoko and examined Makoto's face.
"He'll have a black eye that's for sure," Bonamu said. "I'll take him back to his dorm."
"Okay," kyoko responded and walked away.

Bonamu picked Makoto up and carried him out of the gym. Makoto's light weight made the walk to the dorm rooms easy to Bonamu. He opened the door and set the sleeping boy onto his bed.
"If only we had an ultimate nurse," Bonamu muttered to himself.

When he walked back outside, he bumped into the ultimate fashionista. She fell onto the ground with a thud and let out a soft groan.
"Oh I'm so sorry, Junko," Bonamu said trying to hold back a snicker.
She looked up at him, seeing a hand in front of her face.
"Uhm, thanks," she said accepting his hand. "Sorry I was in your way." She blushed.
"Oh no it wasn't your fault," he said. "Where are you heading to?"
"Well I was looking for you," she responded with a serious tone. "What type of mission did you and my sister go on?"

He looked at her dumbfounded for a small moment not exactly knowing what to say.
"It was years ago, back when she was with that organization. I don't really remember," he said trying desperately to cover up a lie so bad even a toddler could tell.
"Oh, okay then," she said. "I suppose I'll head to my dorm room then."
"Alright then, I'll talk to you later!" He said trying to solidify his lie.

She gave a subtle nod and walked past him. He looked at her walk away from him. He knew he needed to find out more information, something was up with that women.

"Junko!" He yelled at her.
She turned around as he walked up to her.
"What is it?"
"I was thinking maybe we could watch each other's back? I met your sister so I think I have a good understanding of how you may act," he said with a slight chuckle.
She watched as he cleared his throat and awaited for her response.
She gave him a smile and responded. "I'd like that."
"Great," he said smiling. "So it's a promise."
"Promise," she said interlocking her pinky with his.
