Awakening from my sleep, my new found detective partner, Jane Marcus was knocking on my door. I turned over and my eyes fixed onto my clock: 8:00. I’d overslept! Jane was keen to work on the case even though the police had looked into it thoroughly. They had no leads apart from the fact that somebody had shot me through the open window of my apartment as I went to pick up the phone. No clues were left behind. No fingerprints anywhere. No signs from the bullet. It seemed like a dead end.
We are never going to find out who shot from that gun! It is impossible. They left no clues anywhere, and my newly found partner and I have no idea of how a gunshot could have reached my apartment as I live on the 3rd floor. So we sat and considered what seemed like every single possible option until the sun faded away. Tired and exhausted, we were close to giving up, when suddenly Jane sprung out of her seat excitedly.
