"Shit shit shit," I said, sitting up and running into my room.

"Hmm?" I heard Awsten groan.

"I have to be at work in like," I looked at the clock, "5 minutes."

"So?"

"I live 20 minutes away?"

He laughed. Last night we watched TV for a couple hours and must have fallen asleep on the couch together. The realization made my face turn red but it didn't stop me from choosing at outfit.

"I'll drive you in if you want," he offered as I picked a shirt off a hanger, "you should just call. Say you'll be late."

"Okay, yeah," I nodded, "I'll tell Kaylie that there was an issue.." I trailed off trying to think of something.

"The dog," Awsten suggested, leaning up against the door frame, "say he was fussing over drinking water and you were worried. Or something."

"That's actually good. Then I have a little bit more time."

I dropped the clothes and grabbed my phone, walking into the kitchen. I called Kaylie and told her what was up, or what I made her believe was up, and she gave me 45 minutes. Thank God.

I set my phone back down and plopped back on the couch again. Awsten laughed at me and sat in a chair.

"Abby, get up."

"No."

"Yes."

"Fine."

I rolled my eyes and sat up, walking into the bathroom and changing. I took a shower yesterday so I'm probably fine. I walked out in a white, long sleeve shirt and a black mini skirt. I looked very professional.

"How do I look?" I asked, spinning in a circle, feeling the skirt flare a little at the bottom.

"Uh, nice," Awsten cleared his throat, "you look really nice."

I smiled and walked back in the bathroom, blow drying my hair before curling it. It didn't look half bad when I was done and I shoved my feet into white loafer Vans.

I ran out and gave Watson some food, patting him on the head before telling Awsten I was ready to leave.

"Okay, I'll drive."

"No, because then I'll have to get a ride."

"I know when you get off work," he smirked.

I rolled my eyes and put my keys back in my bag.

"Okay," I turned the lock as we walked out, "fine."

His cheeks tinted pink as we walked out to his car together and he knew exactly what he was doing.

The work day was rough. Not too bad, but Damen was being weird. And there was 10x more people. And they were all rude. Awsten stopped by and bought my lunch again, which was super nice of him. I felt bad for leaving Damen alone but he seemed to be spending a lot of time with Sam, our co-worker. She's super cool but it's weird because I'd never seen them hang out. He'd always come over and talk to me.

Anyway, when it finally hit 5, I went to go find Awsten.

"Abby, can I talk to you for second?"

I turned around and saw Damen.

"Oh my God, yes, I thought you were mad at me. We haven't talked in forever."

"A day? Yeah, that's a long time," he laughed.

I smiled and rolled my eyes.

"So, tonight, I was wondering if we could like, go have uh, like, dinner or something. Like, a date?"
