The Next Day
Regina's P.O.V.
'What was this?' The question kept on playing over and over in my mind. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at my door. "Regina? Are you in there?" I heard a familiar voice call out. "I'm in my office, please do come in." I did my best to put on a smile, pushing away all those thoughts from not too long ago. "How may I help you, Ms.Swan?" I asked, which apparently surprised Emma. "Really? Back to formalities again?" I watched her as she walked over to my seat, tensing as she stood behind me. "Sorry." I said, clearly with a bit of shakiness in my tone. My eyes widened as I felt Emma's hands on my shoulders, massaging out the tenseness. "Relax Regina, you're way too tense. Alright? Just let loose." Her next action quite surprised me. I felt her lips press a gentle kiss against my cheek. "It's going to be fine ok? Don't get so stressed out." I lightly blushed. "You're right, perhaps you can run back to my place and bring back some apple cider?" Emma gave me a little smile. "How about I go to the store and bring us back something stronger? I really feel that we need to talk." I smiled at her. "That most certainly works. Thank you, Emma." I smiled a little, that smile widening after I felt Emma's soft lips press against my own. "I'll be back, ok?" I nodded, my heart feeling as if it were about to burst out of my chest.
Emma's P.O.V
'That certainly went well.' I thought to myself, a huge smile planted on my face. While in the grocery store, I walked over to the alcohol and grabbed a large bottle of some tequila. As I turned the corner, I accidentally bumped into somebody. "Oh, I'm so sorry. Mom. Hey, what's up?" I asked her, quickly hiding the bottle. "Emma. What on earth are you trying to hide?" I innocently smiled. "Nooothing." However, I should know that she can see through my little white lies. "Emma Marie Swan. What do you have?" I sighed loudly and showed her the bottle. "Emma, we've been over this, I don't like you having such strong liquor in your system. I'm fine with you having beer but not this stuff. Now, I'll walk you back to make sure you put it back." I raised an eyebrow. "Mom. This isn't for me, it's for Regina. I can totally tell she's stressed out and tense from work, so I was bringing this back for her to let loose and unwind." Score! I might've just found the escape to this entrapment. "Oh, alright. Send her my best wishes." She smiled at me, I smiled back and quickly got in line to buy the bottle, rushing over to her office afterwards. "Regina, I'm back!"
