Today (24 / 7... so rlly tomorrow depending on your timezone) is Hinode Hinata's birthday!

This marks the second bithday art I've done this year, so I'm already doing better than last year!! I missed two birthday, but one was for one for a character who hasn't debted yet so I'm using that as an excuse.
The other one was, well, Mai, so I can't use that excuse. In my defense, I walked into school on her birthday only to be told "lol this is your last day of school ever bc covid" and then the very next day animal crossing released.
So I was busy both processing both the emotional goodbyes I wans't expecting and trying to gather 30 iron ores. I like to think that's enough of an excuse.
Also Mai gets an entire birthday chapter later along the line so it's fair.
But anyway, today is Hina's day!! She was a lot of fun to create, develop, and just as much fun to write!! The original concept of her (back when I was creating the wiki page with no idea that I'd still care about this over two years later) was just "what if I took my favourite oc and made her a pop type instead of cute?".
In the end though, the two ended up quite different aha. They still share some similarities, just adapted to fit the story more. For example, the original oc was for an aistars roleplay. I live in the UK, and most of the others... did not. So, due to timezones... my character would end up just. Falling asleep. In the middle of the day. Bc I had to go to sleep.
And that was one of the tamer things to happen in that rp.

Anyway, her sleepiness ended up becoming one of her trademark qualities. So, of course, I had to carry this over to Hinata. At first, she (much like Miyuki) would fall asleep anywhere and everywhere, but later on in her development it... didn't really fit. So, I changed it to general laziness. She can work hard if you motivate her, but due to her childhood (which I won't go into bc spoilers) she just... wants a break. Hopefully, she manages to find a good balance between play and work soon^^

Oh and also I'll be resuming the story again soon!! Chapter 12 will be up by the end of next month if all goes well ♡
