The Flood~ Part 3~ The End

(Sorry this part is a little longer than the others, but I didn't really want to break up the flow of it! Hope you enjoy!)

Norma got to Alex's door, she was a bag of nerves, her stomach was summersulting and her heart racing. She knocked twice like she usually did and listened out for Alex, she heard nothing, the excitement started to fade into disappointment and her heart was heavy, she glanced back and noticed that his SUV was still parked in the parking lot, so he must still be in his room, she worried he might be ignoring her. Then suddenly the door swung open and Norma jumped back. Alex was shocked to see her standing there, he hadn't expected her to come back even though he wished for it.

'Oh Norma, Hi. I thought you had left.'

Norma tried to repress a giggle

'Alex, it's my motel. I live here'

Alex sensed where this conversation was going and decided to play along, if she wanted to play hard to get then he was going to play along,

'Technically Norma you live on top of that hill with the hundreds of steps'

'Well that's very melodramatic Sheriff, it's not hundreds of steps'

Alex smirked enjoying the flirtatious back and forth fun, he was elated that she had knocked on his door. All he wanted to do was pull her inside his room, throw her on his bed a fuck her, but he knew he couldn't he had to take it slow, let her lead, he was so worried about making her feel awkward, he wanted to make sure she was ready, really ready, but if she showed that she wanted to lead he was happy to play along, even if it meant teasing her...

'Oh you buttoned up your shirt? You've no idea how difficult it was to undo them with cold hands whilst trying to be seductive'

Norma couldn't hold her serious game face any longer and she laugh out loud,

'Well i guess it means you've got extra work to do don't you...Sheriff Romero..'

There it was again Alex thought, those words, her sexy 'innocent' look and little pouts, it was all for him, and he was almost annoyed that he hadn't picked up on these subtle hints years ago, he suddenly realised that all this time he'd loved her she felt the same back, she just couldn't admit it. Alex felt like his heart might burst. It was only five minutes ago that she was running out on him and he felt his whole world crumble, he had hoped that seizing the opportunity and taking a chance would pay off but it backfired and he scared her off, he knew deep down that she did have feelings for him, but he couldn't understand her or figure out where her head was at, it was obvious she wanted him, she came back, she was being seductive but earlier she was running away. As much as Alex wanted something to happen he wanted to make sure that she wouldn't regret this, he couldn't bear to lose her friendship again.

Alex reached his arms out and pulled at Norma's waist, she giggled and allowed him to twirl her round until she was in his arms completely and inside his room, Alex kicked the door shut with his foot.

Dylan had been peeping through the blinds out the window to make sure Norma was okay, he was worried about her and prayed that Alex would let her explain. He knew straight away Alex had opened the door as Norma's posture changed, and her behaviour seemed somewhat flirtatious, he couldn't see Alex but he knew that he was behind the door, what he did see was two strong arms reaching out and pulling his Mother in by her waist.

'Oh, oh okay, nicely played Alex, ugh so gross'

Once Alex had kicked the door shut and settled himself and Norma-the room still seemed to spin- he placed a hand on her lower back, he pulled her closer all the while straightening himself up. There was barely any space between them and Norma felt herself go weak.
