[Okay so last part! This part is probably longer than it should be but it's the last one so I wanted to give you a little something extra! BIG Thanks to everyone so far that has commented, voted and given me such wonderfully kind feedback. You seriously have no idea how much it lifts my spirits and helps me to write more! Literally, when I see Wattpad notifications I get excited! I hope you have all enjoyed what I've written so far and like how I wrapped it up/ended it. Thanks again for sticking with me.]....Love you all!...Also so sorry for any grammar issues, spelling mistakes...etc
Alex stood awkwardly as Liam clambered out his truck, he felt his cheeks still burning but hoped the young man wouldn't notice. Liam was the son of Charlie Winters, Charlie owned the garage but as he was getting older he enlisted his son to help more in the hopes he would take over the family business.
'Hey Sheriff, I heard you got some car trouble?'
'Hey Liam, bit late for you, where's your dad?'
'Yeah he's busy working on something right now so sent me since I'm supposed to be learning the trade, hope that's okay?'
Alex smiled at the young guy, clearly he was just trying to fulfill his fathers dreams, step into his footsteps and do a decent job. He admired that. And if truth be told he was a little jealous of the relationship this boy had with his father, Alex loved his father once, and although he hated him now there was a little boy inside of him begging for love and acceptance from his father. It was complicated and messy and Alex just didn't deal well with those types of emotions. It was easier to just think his Father was dead sometimes.
Liam strolled up to the SUV to take a look and stopped closely by Alex's side, Alex felt a little uncomfortable about the close proximity so stepped back out of the way for the young boy to have a look at his SUV. Liam tried to make small talk, he was obviously nervous about being in the presence of the sheriff and so he settled on a light subject that might help ease his nerves.
'Oh Congratulations Sheriff, I hear you got married? Isn't it wonderful to find your soulmate. I hope I find mine someday'
Alex caught Liam gazing up at him, he seemed sincere until his eyes seemed to flash downwards and instantly back up, so quick that you barely noticed it unless you were a trained police officer.
Liam cleared his throat and continued to look at the SUV.
'Seems like you managed to keep yourself occupied I guess whilst I was out on call to Mrs Grant.'
Alex was perplexed by his comment until he noticed the young boy smile awkwardly and glance down. Alex's eyes widened,he had this cold feeling rush through his entire body, he glanced down praying he was wrong but was met with his zipper down and his shirt still hanging out, not to mention Liam had already said 'Hi' to Norma and she still looked flustered and pink. It was pretty darn obvious to the world what had happened but Liam was respective enough to leave it at that, he did however give Alex a cheeky wink and said he was a legend. Alex wasn't sure if that was a compliment or an insult, he just wanted to get home and have a very hot shower with his beautiful naked wife, it had been a long day...however, a very good day, he smiled to himself whilst he very discreetly pulled up his zipper and tucked in his shirt. Alex's 'subtle' action didn't go unnoticed by Norma and she was horrified, her cheeks flushed a deep scarlet colour as the realisation hit her hard that this young boy, probably the same age as Norman, maybe a year or so older knew exactly what they had been up to.
After what felt like forever Liam came to the conclusion that his father was right and roadside assistance wasn't going to work, the SUV needed to be towed back to the garage. Alex bit his tongue, he knew already that it had to be towed but didn't want to knock the boys confidence. Liam explained to Alex that the best option was for them to grab a ride with him and then someone would collect the SUV as soon as possible and he would have it back tomorrow afternoon. Alex couldn't really argue with that, so decided to go and rescue Norma from the car, she was looking a little worse for wear. Liam jumped into his truck and took out his phone whilst he waited patiently for Alex and Norma to get in the back, he glanced at his rearview mirror and could see the couple having what looked like a heated conversation, not wanting to be rude and listen in he busied himself with the radio in the truck.
