"No" I scream repeatedly. "no no no. This can't be happening. Not again! no! Please God no". His hand hit my cheek with a loud smack, i was on the floor, sobbing, pleading but no one could hear me.

I woke up drenched in sweat and with tears in my eyes.

"It was a nightmare. Only a nightmare"
I keep repeating to calm myself down.

I climbed out of bed to go to the bathroom to wash my face with cold water. I stared at my reflection in the mirror. There were bags under my eyes and I was pale.

I went back to my room and stared at the clock, 2:25.

I didn't want to go back to sleep despite how tired I was. I couldn't handle another nightmare.

I wanted to call Jennifer so bad, because she was the only person who could calm me down, but I didn't want to wake her up.

I laid on my bed, staring at the ceiling, my mind was blank. My hands were freezing. I had been so focused on trying not to fall asleep that I didn't notice how cold my room was.

I got up to turn up the heat.
I didn't want to go back to bed, I knew that if i did i would fall asleep and I couldn't. I just couldn't.

These nightmares. They've been gone for two months, and they returned. "Why now?" I thought to myself.

It was like this all night. I kept splashing water on my face to stay awake. I made coffee, I walked around my apartment until it was 6:30.

At 6:30 i gave in and fell asleep.

I woke up at 9:50. I had fallen asleep on the couch and I'm glad the nightmares didn't return.

I skipped breakfast and decided to go to a little creek i had discovered. I would go there to relax and just enjoy nature for a while.

I wore a pair of skinny jeans and i pulled down a black hoodie

I decided to take my sketchbook so i put it in a shoulder bag along with my phone and keys.

I pulled my hair up in a messy bun and left.

Once i stepped out of the apartment I saw the door next to mine open and out came a bleach blonde haired girl, following her was a tall, tattooed guy.

I glanced at them and then looked away when I quickly looked back at the guy. He seemed familiar...

"Thanks for helping me move my stuff in Tony"
I heard her say in an obnoxious high pitched voice.

"No problem babe, anything for you"

That voice. Oh god.
It was the guy from the burger place. The asshole cashier.

They started making out and that's when I saw my chance to leave.
I started to walk quickly and to my horrific terror, I tripped and landed right in front of them.

They stared back and the girl started laughing. I could feel my cheeks flare up and my ears get warm.

The stuff in my bag had fallen out so i quickly scrambled to my knees and picked up my bag. I put my phone , keys, and other stuff back in the bag. I could feel their stares on my.

I stood up and looked down while stuttering

"I..I um. I'm sorry. I."

I walked off quickly and I heard the asshole tell the girl something
"That wasn't cool Jasmine, you didn't have to laugh at her"

Her name was Jasmine.

I was surprised that the asshole had defended me like that. He obviously didn't remember me and part of me was glad.

I heard her scoff and when I turned back slightly they continued with their make out session.
