Road Trip // D.S. // To Hawaii

To Hawaii

This boy and I went on a road trip. We didn't stay in Florida for too long. We eventually made our way back to California after a much shorter journey on the road.

"Are you ready?" Daniel asks me from the driver seat.

"Ready as I can be" I smile, holding Dallas and cooing "I mean, they can't be mad at this cute little guy"

"I don't know, but give me him so you can hug your parents" he says opening his arms. I carefully give him Dallas and I make my way to my home, leaving my luggage in the car. I knock four times and Daniel is already behind me.

"Y/n!" My mom yells in excitement

"Mom! Dad!" I yell sharing a deep hug with both of them.

"Hey Daniel" my dad waves, then shakes his hand "Y/n" he says sternly

"Look at him though. His name is Dallas and it's one of my souvenirs!" I smile and grab him from Daniel.

"Oh, well he is cute" my mom admits

"Daniel, I thought I said to not bring any animals home"
"I know, but y/n convinced me saying I promised no cats or raccoons. Obviously this isn't a raccoon" he shyly smiles

"I don't care honey, Dallas is a cute puppy" my mom says going to hug Daniel.

"So we can keep him?" I smile widely already knowing the answer.

"Y/n I don't even think we could ever get rid of him, now" my dad laughs

"Yay! Okay Dani unlock the car so I can get my luggage" I smile walking out of the house.

"Uh, uh, uh" Daniel teases following me "I'll get your luggage" he smiles

While Daniel grabs my luggage and nicely puts it upstairs. I unpack majority of my clothes then head back down with Daniel by my side to my parents.

"Oh Bonny, hello, I'm back" I smile walking to the parrot

"Hello, y/n's back" and he rings his adorable bell

"Yay, he still knows my name" I cheer

"Of course he does, he would never forget" my mom says giving me another hug

"Are you going home?" My dad asks Daniel who is by the door

"Yeah, I need to say hello to my parents and siblings" he smiles flipping his phone.

I look to my mom and she immediately understands.

"Dallas will be fine here, go on" she smiles

I skip out the door giving my dad another hug before joining Daniel in the car on our way to his house.

"Let me get your luggage! You got mine!" I playfully argue

"Fine, you can take my luggage to the door" he agrees

"Yay!" I smile taking his luggage and following him to his door, where he knocks.

"Feels weird knocking on my own house" he says and the door opens "mom!"

"Daniel! How was your trip?" Keri asks "y/n! Come here" she says and I join the hug.

Daniel steps in, taking his luggage and I follow him before getting taking away by his sister.

"Y/n!" She squeals

"Anna!" I yell with just as much energy and we collide in a hug.

"Anna, you better back off. Y/n is my best friend" Daniel defends, and separating us giving Anna a hug then me.

"Why am I getting a hug? I was there with you" I laugh and so does he, before going to his dad, and two older brothers.

It's been a month back at home. Like always Daniel and I see each other everyday. We usually do something fun every year maybe not as big as a road trip across the country but something small as camping a few hours away.

That's why, it was a bit odd when we wanted to go fly down to Hawaii. Explore the place! There's so much to do there!

"Now, I can't believe we're doing this" I laugh

"Yeah, neither can I" Daniel agrees, ending in a yawn causing me to yawn as well.

"I'm tired" I mumble and sit down on the airport seat.

"Me too" Daniel yawns again sitting next to me, moving our suitcases closer to us.

"Maybe I'll get a cat here" I softly laugh, only earning another soft laugh from Daniel.

"To Hawaii we go" Daniel smiles and we stand up after hearing our section being called to the gate.

"To Hawaii" I repeat in a smile, pulling my luggage and following Daniel.
