Road Trip // D.S. // To Hawaii

"are you ready?" my best friend asks, entering my bedroom

"Yeah, I still can't believe we're doing this" I say excited and picking up the last of my things for the road trip.

"I'll take your bag then" he smiles

"thank you Daniel, that's sweet of you" I smile, from the kind gesture. He's always so sweet and nice, he's just a warm hearted guy.

I go downstairs from my bedroom, taking one last look and hugging my parents goodbye.

"I'm gonna miss you guys, but you can always call me" I smile hugging each of them

"I know y/n bear, have fun on your trip and bring back some souvenirs" my mom replies

"I will, I'll take advantage of this opportunity and get out there more" I smile

"I'm gonna miss you, but if you see an animal, you don't need it" my dad jokes

"If I see an animal, in need of help. I won't have an impulse control" I laugh "I'll definitely be getting it then"

"Daniel, make sure she doesn't bring back a cat or raccoon for Bonny's sake"

"I promise" Daniel replies

I laugh "there's no way, I can convince him"

"Sorry y/n, but I already promised" Daniel shrugs

"Mhm" I walk over to Bonny our families shared parrot and give her a kiss on the head "I'm gonna be gone, take care of mom and dad"

"Bye bye take care" Bonny squawks

I grab my backpack, while Daniel has my suitcase. We walk out together and get in his beloved Tesla. What a great car to take on a 40 hour drive.

That's right, we just decided to go to Miami, Florida last night. Sure we can just go on a plane and spend more time there, but that's not the point.

We both wanted a road trip, neither of us caring much of where we were headed so we finally decided on Florida. This is going to be one long but hopefully amazing month. Oh, right! We're going for a month, hopefully five full days driving, two weeks in Florida, and five days back.

Which isn't very likely, especially if I'm gonna want to stop in every state. Even if we're only gonna be there for a few hours. I don't want to set a plan, we're just gonna go with the flow and have the best time on this road trip when we can.

I turn up the radio and sway my head to the music. While Daniel chuckles at my behavior. This is going to be one amazing road trip.
