Annabeth's POV:

"Close the radio, Pipes." I say, flustered. "What? No way! This song is bomb!" Piper mocks. Ugh. I loved music, but mine? Eh, it's arguable. I groan. I heard a motivation pop up from my phone. I pull it out, it's from Luke.

L: It's your song on the radio right now. It's really good. I'm competing with Piper as your biggest fan. ;P

A: It's so embarrassing. Don't let Piper know you said that. :)

Apparently Piper read it over my shoulder. "Pshh, he can't compete with me. I know every song of yours by heart. I know all the roles you've played, and I literally MAKE your schedule. Pretty boy over there is gonna have to work harder." She bragged, smirking, but it was quite obvious that she was far from pleased with what Luke said.

"Oh, calm down. That spot will forever be reserved for you." I tell her. "Oh, I know. I just hate it when people think they can compete with my fabulousness. He's delusional." Piper joked, amused.

I heard another notification pop up from my phone. It was from an unknown number.

?: hi this is percy jackson u left ur wallet here

A: Oh, can I send someone to pick it up?

P: deffo

A: Thanks!

Not big on grammar, huh? Eh, I've got training from Piper. She once sent me the acronym, 'omgchidhuyi' which apparently meant 'oh my gods, come here I'm dying hurry up, you idiot'. Not one of my favorites. At least he was tame.

I wonder if he has a girlfriend. I mean, not that I care, just curious. I shake my head, cheeks warm form my previous thoughts. "Who's that?" Piper asked, concerned. I shake my head, "Nothing."

"But you're blushing."

"I am not."

"Miss Chase, don't tell me you have another admirer."

"What?! No way."

Piper lunged for my phone, tackling me. We were rolling around the backseat, until the driver cleared his throat. He feels more like our dad than our driver. If he had a dollar every time he stopped Piper and I from wrestling so hard, we fall out of the car, then he'd be the richest man alive.

She straightened up, and sent me a side eye glance. "I'm still getting that, y'know." Our driver, Easton Brooks, sighed. "Girls. Cut it out. Especially you, Piper. Let Annabeth have some privacy."

I grinned at her, satisfied that Easton was on my side. I resisted the urge not to stick my tongue out at her. I was 21 not 5. I checked my phone again. Another notification.

Wow. I'm getting a lot of messages. There was a group chat for the cast. There was another one for us girls. Piper had made it. 'Get some new friends.' she chided.

I knew she was right, but I didn't particularly enjoy the company of some girls. I remembered my past. Back when I was around 7, I ran away from home. I kept coming to school, though. My classmates all knew what happened. The girls who sat at the back of the class would beat me up.

That's when Luke found me. He protected me from the girls. He couldn't defend me for long, though. He had to change schools the next month. Maybe it was fate, but we met again at high school.

But of course, I might as well be life's worst enemy, because Luke left again. 'I'll be back for you,' He pulled out his pinkie, 'back before you know it. Just promise that you won't forget me.' I looped my finger through his. 'That's a promise, but you have to come back.'

Ugh. Lukabeth. Can we please not.
