Chapter 36- The Cards.

"You think so?" She smiled at the thought.

"Yes. Cupid shot you guys multiple times in the ass." Sanoi let out a little laugh, so did Sam.

"Thank you bro'. I appreciate you." Sam bumped his shoulder.

"After everything and everyone, we're all we got. You know I'm always here and sometimes you forget that. I don't want you dealing with anything yourself..."

"I know. I get caught up in not wanting to be a burden, I just deal with everything myself." Sam admitted.

"I love you big head." "I love you too."

The two then went back to the regular settings. Jeremiah was still caught up with the aunties. Jace saw his daughter and brought her in his arms. She looked up at him and smiled.

"You're okay, plum?"

"Yes I am, Dad." Sam replied.

Jeremiah checked his phone and a frown graced his face.

"Um, I'm sorry but I will have to take an early leave."

"That's okay baby. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you." Aunt Grace smiled up at him and brought him in a hug.

The other aunties agreed and did the same.

"Is everything okay son? I can make a plate for you before you go," Mama K spoke up.

"Yea everything's fine. That would be nice, thank you," Jeremiah said.

"Okay baby. Give me a few minutes." Mama K said, walking away.

"Bring it to his car, I'll walk him out," Jace spoke up.

Sam froze. Her dad speaking to Jeremiah is not a good idea right now. Jace has a way of breaking people.

Sam walked up, preparing to bid Jeremiah farewell and lowkey because she didn't want him to talk to her father.

She embraced him and he wrapped her in his arms.

"Is Riley okay?" she asked lowly.

"Yea she is. She misses you though..." Jeremiah took in his environment and sighed, "We'll talk..." He looked at her, maintaining eye contact.

Sam wanted to turn away but all eyes were on them. She hated it.

"Yea we will." She kept up with the eye contact.

"Dont be shy baby! We don't mind the loving!" Auntie May exclaimed.

Oh won't you shut up!  Sam thought. She didnt want all this hype on her.

Jeremiah was all for it. He was all for the loving. He smiled and Sam rolled her eyes.

He held her face in his hands and brought it up to his, capturing her lips. He hummed in pleasure. He was craving this, ever since....

Sam was overwhelmed. She forgot what she was at odds with Jeremiah for. She gripped his sides through his shirt.

Reality soon snapped. Sam pulled away and Jeremiah did not stop her. They turned and smiles were bright in the place.

"Goodnight Miah." She took a step away from him.

"Goodnight Riyah. I love you." Jeremiah let out.

Her chest tightened.

She forced a smile up at him then went back towards Sanoi.

Sanoi put his arms around his sister to comfort her. Things just needed to be straightened out between the two. It shouldn't be this bad.
