Chapter 21- Changes.
"You don't have to come with me, Gabe. I'm just gonna drop off the stuff and get the rest of my money," Sam said.
"I don't know what that sirJeremiah is up to," Gabriel said.
"That's not our problem. Don't you trust me?" Sam rolled her eyes.
"I do trust y-"
"So why don't you stop acting out over Jeremiah and I?!" Sam snapped.
"I don't know what you are gonna do around him!" Gabriel snapped back.
"Wow and yet still you say you trust me." Sam was about to walk out but Gabriel grabbed her back.
"Babe, look... Look at me." He gently turned her face towards him.
She had tears in her eyes. Sam hated crying, yet lately it's become a norm for her.
"Don't cry. Sh't, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that. I trust you, I really do, it's just that I'm kinda still on what happened between you and Jeremiah. It's not you that I don't trust , it's him. I don't know what he will do with you around and what all that will lead up to," Gabriel tried to explain.
Sam closed her eyes and composed herself. Gabriel wiped the tears that slipped.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you cry," Gabriel said.
"It's okay. You're not the only one hung up on the situation. I just wish I stayed strong and continued my streak of not going to his house. Some sh't always happens there when I'm there long enough and I was so stupid to get drunk and make myself vulnerable. I just wished things didn't turn out the way it did," Sam said.
Gabriel sighed and kissed Sam.
"I guess we didn't really put it behind us, huh?"
Sam chuckled.
"No, no we didn't. Look when I get back and on our way to Mom's, we speak about it, okay? I got to just run in and out that house."
Gabriel pulled Sam in a passionate kiss.
"I love you, okay?" He said genuinely.
"I know. I love you." She left the house and headed to Jeremiah's.
Sam took a deep breath as her and her crew walked to the door. This was actually her last delivery before she took her holiday break. She internally smiled as she did need a break from the work. She still had to deal with the store online, yes, and she is leaving the main store in Nikki's, her brother's wife, hands until she came back after New Years. Nikki won't do much but to just monitor the stores revenue and relaying it back to Sam.
She knocked on the door and to her surprise but somehow not so much, Leah answered. She chuckled at Leah's scowl.
"Hi, where's Jeremiah?" she asked.
"Come in, he's upstairs getting dressed," Leah replied.
Sam rolled her eyes and stepped in with her crew. She went in the kitchen where Janet, Aria and Keisha were.
"Sam'Riyah girl! I didn't know you were coming!" Aria pulled her in a hug as did Keisha.
"Oh, I'm just delivering your brother's stuff. I'm not staying," She cleared up as the crew set down the stuff and left.
Aria & Keisha pouted.
"We want to catch up though. What's going on, you haven't been here or in contact with any of us." Keisha pointed out.
