Third Person POV

Oscar sits on the edge of his sister's bed, with Morris leaning against the door frame in the doorway. Oscar gently shakes his sister awake.

"Come on Amelia, it's a special day today" Morris softly calls to her, still in the doorway.

Amelia rolls over, facing Oscar, her eyes squinted open.
"Guys?" She whispers, yawning. She's adorable. Morris chuckles. He doesn't usually see her waking up, Oscar usually wakes her up, or they're not there when she does.

"Morning sleepyhead, remember what today is?" Oscar asks her, rubbing her back.

Amelia looks confused for a few minutes, till it hits her.
"I get to go to work with you today!" She exclaims, sitting up. Oscar and Morris laugh at her excitement.

"I'm just gonna warn you, it's not as fun as it seems" Morris warns her, and Oscar shoots him a glare. He puts his hands up in defeat. Amelia didn't seem to hear his comment, as she was yawning and rubbing her eyes.

"We put clothes on your dresser, put them on then meet us outside. Okay?" Oscar instructs her, and she nods.

Oscar and Morris exit the room, closing the door behind them. Amelia gets up, rubbing her eyes, and grabs her clothes.

She puts the clothes on, and looks at herself in the mirror. She's wearing a white button-up shirt, a black vest, black shirt, white leggings, and black boots. Amelia does her hair in two braids, and puts on the hat that Morris left her.

She heads outside, and sees her brothers waiting for her.

"Morning guys!" She greets, sliding down the rail of the stairs, and jumping off at the end. Her two brothers laugh.

"Morning" Morris greets.

"How do you go from sleepy to "I have the most energy in the world!"?" Oscar asks her, re-enacting her movements from earlier.

"I just do, you should know this. You've lived with me since I was born" Amelia reminds him, and he laughs.

"No duh, we're your brothers" Oscar laughs, taking off her hat and ruffling her hair.

Amelia laughs, and swats his hands away, taking back her hat, and putting it back on her head.

"Here's the plan for today, first we have to go open the Circulation Gate for the Newsies, then work at the Distribution Cent-" Morris starts, but is cut off by Oscar.

"Morris, don't bore her out of her mind before today even gets started." Oscar tells him, and he rolls his eyes, frowning. Amelia giggles. "She'll figure it out later."

"Let's go!" She exclaims, then whispers. "Before we start a Brother War."

Oscar and Morris laugh, taking her hat off of her head, and ruffling her hair.

"You're crazy" Oscar tells her, as she steals back her hat, putting it back on her head.

"What?" She asks. "They are very real things."

"Love you too" Morris laughs, and Amelia hugs him.

"Love you" She responds. After a few minutes, they pull away, and look at Oscar, who is pretending to wipe a tear from his eye. Morris and Amelia laugh, playfully shoving Oscar, who also laughs.

"Now let's actually go" Oscar suggests, and Morris and Amelia nod.

The three siblings start walking to the Circulation Gate, when Amelia decides to steal Morris' hat. She jumps up behind him, and grabs it, then runs ahead of him.

"Got your hat!" She calls, laughing.

"Amelia! Give me my hat you crazy child!" Morris shouts after her, laughing a tiny bit.

"This again" Oscar laughs, shaking his head, and continuing to watch his siblings.

Amelia does flips and tricks to flip over things while still running from Morris, with his hat in her hands. Morris continues to chase her, and Oscar just watches them, laughing.

When they finally get to the Distribution Center, Amelia sees a lot of boys, groaning in annoyance and angry about something. Those must be the Newsies, she thinks.

"Amelia!" Morris calls her, and she snaps back into reality, continuing running.

When she gets to the Gate, she leans against a pole, holding Morris' hat out for him, and pretending to be bored. Oscar laughs at her.

"Wow, you take forever Morris" She tells him, holding back a laugh. Morris and Oscar laugh.

Morris takes the hat from her, and throws it to Oscar, who catches it. Then, Morris tickles Amelia. Amelia squeals, laughing.

After a few minutes, Morris stops, and helps her up.
"Don't ever steal my hat" Morris playfully threatens, putting his hat back on. Amelia rolls her eyes.

"You two haven't changed in twelve years" Oscar tells his siblings, who shrug.

"Heard you two beat up some Queens Newsies yesterday" The tallest Newsie starts. He has brown hair, brown eyes, and a blue shirt, with a black vest over it.

Oscar and Morris shrug, and Amelia decides to stay out of it, as she knows the truth about why her brothers beat up innocent kids.

"I don't think your mother would be very happy about that" One with bright red hair tells them. Oscar scowls, and Morris pulls Amelia to him.

Morris keeps Amelia next to him, and away from the Newsies, as Oscar opens the gate.

"We wouldn't know" Oscar mumbles, and Amelia can see the Newsies' faces soften.

"Who's the cute girl?" The one with a cigar asks. He winks at Amelia, and she can feel her face heating up. He has bright blue eyes, and curly, dirty blonde hair.

"Is she single?" Another boy asks. He's shorter, and has dark brown/black hair.

"Like she'd ever date you, Romeo" Another boy responds, and the boy, Romeo, pouts at the other boy.

"She's not gonna date any of you" Oscar tells them.

"Can we be friends with her?" One with a crutch asks, and Amelia feels her heart melt a little.

"Maybe" Oscar shrugs.

"Who even is she?" Another asks, as the Newsies start getting curious.

"Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Amelia. These nitwits are my brothers" Amelia tells them, and Morris laughs.

"Meany" Oscar pouts.

"You know I'm just joking. I love you Oscar" She assures him, hugging him. He laughs.
