I woke up to greet the white ceiling of a infirmary room. I coughed slightly as I tried to sit up in the uncomfortable, worn spring bed. Rubbing my head, I looked around the room as I quickly laid back down from the spinning in my mind. I noticed Stein sitting next to the bed in his office chair though sitting oddly backwards. His head was laying against the back rest with his eyes comfortably shut. He was lightly snoring, and I watched mesmerized as his chest calmly rose and fell from his breathing.

I chuckled softly causing Stein's eyes to sleepily flutter open. He sat upright and laughed as he scratched the back of his head in embarrassment as his cheeks had a light pink blush on them.  I smiled cutely as I giggled softly. "Morning, Dr. Stein~!" I stated cheerfully.

He smiled as he patted my head softly and ruffled my hair slightly. "I see someone has finally awoken from their prolonged slumber..." he teased playfully. He turned around in his office chair and rolled over to the desk and picked up some paperwork. He rolled back over to me and handed me some paperwork enclosed in a manila folder.

I looked at it suspiciously as I opened it up revealing its contents which consisted of documented papers with pictures clipped to them. I pulled them out and examined them carefully and skimmed over some of the contents written on the cream colored pages. "What is this?" I asked confused.

He looked down at his hands which were folded over the back of his office chair causing his glasses to have a white glare across their lenses. "It is paperwork referring to you having ran away from home and that those were the creatures last seen with you. They look oddly familiar, yes?" he asked as his eyes continued to rest on me uneasily.

"Yes, but-"

"But nothing... The only thing that is real is those creatures... By now you should have figured that this was a ploy for the academy to give you up to that said address." His voice was stern as he picked up the envelope. "I checked the school records and that is not where you nor your family lives. I concluded it as a hoax since your mother signed you up for school here many years ago and she is long since dead..." he finished a bit angrily.

I flinched back a bit as I noticed he had a bit of passion coating his voice as he spoke despite the anger tinging it. "But why would they want me?" I asked as I looked helplessly at him.

He shrugged as he spun around in the chair acting playful once more. I giggled as I watched him act like a child while he spoke, "Beats me, but they are going to have a lot of fun when they try and come after you..." he chuckled lightly making me ease slightly.

"What are we going to do?" I asked softly wondering how many lives were on the line. "And anyway... Why are those creatures after me? I'm not anything special..." I stated with an uneasy chuckle as I tried to lighten the subject.

He hesitated before he spoke. "You may not think that, but you are..." he stated softly. "Many people here care about you and would be saddened to see you gone... Also, you would be another striking blow to the academy, being as they know that I would do anything to protect you..."

My face reddened as I heard his words. "B-but... I am just another student..." I stated in embarrassment. "Nobody in their right minds would ca-" my words were caught off as he leaned forward and pressed his soft, warm lips against mine. He cupped my cheek and deepened it. Me, as willing as I am, kissed back and pressed my body against his. We moaned softly in the kiss from the pleasure and enjoyment of it. I wrapped my arms around his neck and we broke the kiss. We panted a bit heavily, and both of our faces were flushed, but it was worth it.

"Then in that case, I have never been in my right mind since I first laid eyes on you..."
