In everyone's mind, this seemed like a regular class day.

Well...almost everyone...

But regardless, all of the Golden Deer students showed up to the classroom in the morning that day with their professor being slightly late for the first time.

It was even stranger considering the fact that Hilda even showed up before her.

The students in the class didn't hesitate to comment on that.

"It is not like the Professor to be this late.." Leonie couldn't resist pointing out.

"Maybe she is having a big breakfast!" Raphael grinned.

"I seriously doubt that. The Professor wouldn't stoop that low to be late over dining." Lorenz rolled his eyes.

"Huh? What are you talking about Lorenz?" Raphael failed to understand Lorenz's point.

"I mean, sure we haven't known her that long but I'm sure she has the dignity to not be late over something so foolish. Besides, she doesn't strike me as someone who cares about eating."

Lysithea giggled at that statement and Marianne looked away.

Lorenz frowned. "What? What are you giggling about? What I said wasn't foolish now, was it?"

Claude smirked. "Well Lorenz-"

Lorenz quickly interrupted Claude and threw him a glare. "I wasn't talking to you Claude, quit barging in every conversation."

Claude snorted as a response which annoyed Lorenz even more.

Lorenz then shrugged it off and looked at Lysithea, waiting for her to answer.

Lysithea grinned and stopped giggling. She faced Lorenz and finally spoke. "I wouldn't necessarily say foolish but rather incorrect."

"How so?"

"Well, have you ever eaten with her at the dining hall?" Lysithea's eyebrows furrowed in a mocking type of way.

"I... have not. No. She declines every time I've ever offered."

"I can't blame the professor for declining. You'd probably nitpick every tiny little move just like you do with me, now wouldn't you Lorenz?" Claude snickered.

"As a matter of fact, she didn't do so intentionally, she was busy with work. Maybe even one of the declines she may have been busy teaching you some manners but failed due to your intolerant behaviour Claude. Now Lysithea, what are you trying to say?" Lorenz sighed.

"Well I've noticed that she seems a bit happier every time she eats at the dining hall. Especially if the others are with her." Lysithea grinned.

"Wait have you eaten with her at the dining hall Lysithea?" Claude asked.

Lysithea nodded. "Yes I have. I didn't necessarily see her smile but you could tell that she was happy and a bit more chatty I might add."

Leonie nodded and joined in the conversation. "Yeah! I noticed that too! I joined her for lunch the other day and she accepted. When I ate with her, she seemed a bit more chipper even if she didn't express it on her face."

"Huh. Interesting..." Claude said out loud.

"Have you ever been to the dining hall with her Claude?" Hilda, who was sitting next to Claude and lazily had her chin lying on the table, turned to Claude.
