"All our work is gone. Ultron cleared out, used the internet as an escape hatch." Banner said looking through the data.

"He's been in everything. Files, surveillance. Probably knows more about us than we know about each other." Natasha said turning to the team.

"He's in your files, he's in the internet. What if he decides to access something a little more exciting?" Rhodey asked the team.

"Nuclear codes." Maria said from her seat.

"Nuclear codes. Look, we need to make some calls, assuming we still can." Rhodey said to the team.

"Nukes? He said he wanted us dead." Alyssa leaned on the counter next to Bruce.

"He didn't say dead. He said extinct." Steve corrected the girl with a glare.

"He also said he killed somebody." Clint leaned on the railing.

"But there wasn't anyone else in the building." Maria said shaking head.

"Yes there was." Tony finally spoke pulling up a destroyed 3-D image of JARVIS.

"This is insane." Bruce walked closer to the image.

"JARVIS was the first line of defense. He would've shut Ultron down, it makes sense." Steve walked closer crossing his arms.

"No, Ultron could've assimilated Jarvis. This isn't strategy, this is...rage." Bruce said bewildered.

Suddenly Thor walks in grabbing Tony by his neck and holds him up.

"Thor." Alyssa stepped forward but Steve pulled her back by her waist instinctively.

"It's going around." Clint said looking at the two.

"Come on. Use your words, buddy." Tony choked out.

"I have more than enough words to describe you, Stark." Thor said tightening his hold on Tony. Alyssa looked at Steve with a pleading look.

"Thor! The Legionnaire." Steve said in his captain voice. Thor reluctantly dropped Tony and turned to look at Steve.

"Trail went cold about a hundred miles out but it's headed north, and it has the scepter. Now we have to retrieve it, again."

"The genie's out of that bottle. Clear and present is Ultron." Natasha crosses her arms.

"I don't understand. You built this program. Why is it trying to kill us?" Helen asked while looking at the buggy iron legion suit.

Tony breaks out in a fit of laughter. Alyssa and Bruce subtly shake their head at him to get him to stop but to no avail.

"You think this is funny?" Thor asked rhetorically.

"No. It's probably not, right? Is this very terrible? Is it so...is it so...it is. It's so terrible." Tony said still laughing.

"This could've been avoided if you hadn't played with something you don't understand." Thor said angrily to Tony.

"No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It is funny. It's a hoot that you don't get why we need this." Tony said walking up to Thor.

"Tony.. time and place.." Alyssa said trying to get her brother to stop.

"Yea.. Tony, maybe this might not be the time to..." Bruce tried also but was interrupted by Tony.

"Really?! That's it? You two just roll over, show your belly, every time somebody snarls." Tony looks back to Alyssa and Bruce.

"Only when we've created a murder bot." Bruce gestured between the three in a 'duh' voice.

"We didn't. We weren't even close. Were we close to an interface?" he asked the two who shrugged their shoulders nodding with sarcastic faces.

"Well, you did something right. And you did it right here. The Avengers were supposed to be different than SHIELD." Steve said walking closer to Tony.

"Anybody remember when I carried a nuke through a wormhole?" Tony said making Alyssa roll her eyes.

"No, it's never come up." Alyssa said sarcastically.

"Saved New York?" Tony asked again.

"Never heard that." Rhodey added in.

"Recall that? A hostile alien army came charging through a hole in space. We're standing three hundred feet below it. We're the Avengers. We can bust arms dealers all the live long day, but, that up there? That's...that's the end game. How were you guys planning on beating that?"

"Together." Steve said directly to Tony.

"We'll lose." Tony said walking closer.

"Then we'll do that together, too." Steve said sincerely to Tony before turning back to the team, "Thor's right. Ultron's calling us out. And I'd like to find him before he's ready for us. The world's a big place. Let's start making it smaller."

Everyone scurried off leaving Steve and Alyssa. He face faltered from a leader to an unsure man in need of a plan.

"Babe." she called out to her boyfriend before sitting on a counter.

"This shouldn't be happening. I had plans for tomorrow." Steve said walking closer to Alyssa.

"What plans?" she questioned making him shake his head.

"It doesn't matter now." he looked her in her eyes and grabbed her hands, "You gotta trust me Doll."

"I do trust you Steve." she said with a quickness.

"We can't keep secrets if we're in this together." he put his forehead against hers.

"I'm sorry for not telling you about Ultron. The Science Trio were just experimenting, I don't know how this happened." Alyssa spoke.

"Hey. I'm not mad. Just no secrets." he kissed her lips standing in between her legs. She wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him closer to her his hands on the wall behind her. He slowly pulled away, lips centimeters apart.

"I love you Doll." he said lowly.

"I love you too. Always." she replied hugging him.
