"So we gotta assume they're coming back, right?" Rhodey asked the team that was gathered in the conference room.

"And they can clearly find us." Wanda stated.

"We need all hands on deck. Where's Clint?" Bruce asked.

"After the whole Accords situation, he and Scott took a deal. It was too tough on their families, they're on house arrest."

"Who's Scott?" Bruce asked.

"Ant-Man." Steve answered quickly.

"There's an Ant-Man and a Spider-Man? Okay, look... Thanos has the biggest army in the universe. And he is not gonna stop until he... he gets... Vision's Stone." Bruce said slowly.

"Well then, we have to protect it." Natasha said.

"No, we have to destroy it. I've been giving a good deal of thought to this entity in my head, about its nature. But also, its composition. I think if it were exposed to a sufficiently powerful energy source, something, very similar to its own signature, perhaps... its molecular integrity could fail." Vision spoke.

"And you, with it. We're not having this conversation." Wanda shook her head.

"Eliminating the stone is the only way to be certain that Thanos can't get it." Vision reasoned with his girlfriend.

"That's too high a price." Wanda shook her head.

"Only you have the power to pay it. Thanos threatens half the Universe. One life cannot stand in the way of defeating him." Vision said to the team.

"But it should. We don't trade lives, Vision." Steve interjected.

"Captain, 70 years ago, you laid down your life to save how many millions of people. Tell me, why is this any different?" Vision questioned Steve.

"Because you might have a choice. Your mind is made up of a complex construct of overlays. J.A.R.V.I.S., Ultron, Tony, me, Ally, the Stone. All of them mixed together. All of them learning from one another."

"Can we do that?" Natasha asked.

"Not me. Maybe Tony and Ally could but we couldn't do it here."

"You better find someone, and somewhere fast. Ross isn't exactly just gonna let you guys have your old rooms back." Rhodey said while Alyssa tried to stifle a laugh.

"I know somewhere. Wakanda." Steve said.

Alyssa busted out laughing causing everyone in the room to look at her.

"Ally..." Natasha looked at her friend.

"I finally understand why Tony jokes around in these serious situations. My brother and Peter are trapped in space, my ex-fiancé is standing in front of me looking like a Captain 2.0, and we're talking about deassimilating Vision. This is hilarious." Alyssa laughed walking out.

Alyssa walked to her lab and sat on her lab chair banging her head on the table lightly. Alyssa stopped and stared at Tony's work station. She needed her big brother. He was her best friend and only family she had left. She looked to see a figure sit beside her.

"What do you want Steve?" Alyssa asked quietly.

"I want to make sure you're okay." he said calmly.

"I'm completely fine."

"No you're not." Alyssa rolled her eyes at this statement.

"And how the hell would you know that? Your the one that's been gone for two years."

"I know the way I left and the way things ended were bad but I still know you Do-" Steve cut himself off almost calling her the nickname that he coined her almost 6 years before.

"I just need a distraction." Alyssa said calmly to herself picking up a device and a screwdriver.

"Ally, would you knock it off." Steve said wrestling with the girl for the tech. He got it out her hands looking stern before softening at how close the two were. He had only then realized how much he truly missed her and her beauty. She was captivating, he stared into her eyes.

"I'm scared Steve." Alyssa said leaning in to hug the man.

"I know, we're going to keep you safe and we're going to get your brother back." Steve said comforting the girl.

"I need him Steve." Alyssa shrugged letting the tears fall from her eyes.

The two stayed there for minutes before Alyssa calmed herself and pulled back.

"Thanks." she grinned lightly wiping stray tears.

"Any time, I'll always be here for you." Steve hesitated before walking out the leaving Alyssa to her worrisome.
