Chapter 8: Reunion

When Dylan showed himself, the expression on Zirconia's face shifted from being elegant to losing her cool, she then stated, "Sebastian?" as this happened, everything she had remembered about this person came back to her. 'Sebastian?' Peridot asked, Topaz looked at Peridot wondering what it meant, then Zirconia grabbed Dylan by the neck, Dylan was trying to resist he kept smacking Zirconia's arms but it wasn't working, Jade, and Maritess were shocked, 'Please don't do this to us,' Maritess cried in persuation, 'My Zirconia please let go of Dylan!' Jade begged, Zirconia looked directly at Jade in the eyes and told her, 'Don't you ever trust this pests they're monsters!' she threw Dylan across the ground and he flew. Jade ran to him but was grabbed by Zirconia by the arm and told her 'Leave that pests rot! These humans shattered my Emerald! I once thought hope exist in humanity but I was wrong, they're all the same and selfish!' Dylan was aching from the pain, he looked at Jade and magnified his vision directly at Maritess and Paul who were resisting as well from Topaz, Jade unhanded herself from Zirconia and stated, 'What has these humans done to you?' Zirconia raised her eyebrows and went towards Dylan but she was stopped by Jade when she confronted her face to face, Zirconia pushed Jade away and grabbed Dylan by the clothes, 'You betrayed me, and you thought I would forget that don't you? I've come back to take what's been stolen from me, and that is life, the life of my commander and fleet,' she threw Dylan again on the ground but this time Jade catched him, Zirconia ordered Topaz 'Release those petty organic!' Topaz unfused which separated the two prisoners. The three reunited but was warned by Zirconia, she looked at Jade saying 'Dispose those humans,' and Jade replied with a contradicting, 'No!' Peridot and the two Topaz were shocked, 'Are you questioning my authority?' Zirconia menacingly stated, 'I-I would but this isn't right, you left me here on Earth all alone without any response,' Jade replied, Zirconia grinned and declared, 'Then you left me no choice, Peridot! Set the course to the mother ship, we'll start an invasion, were sucking the life out of this miserable planet.'

The ship took off leaving Jade, and the three humans in the forest, 'Dylan are you alright? Is everything okay what was she talking about?' Maritess asked in a worried tone, 'Dude that was the craziest experience I've had in my entire life and also they stole my camera,' Paul added, 'Guys I'm sorry, this is Jade she's the Flying bat or should I say our new friend,' Dylan said, 'Hi I'm Jade,' Jade greeted the two. The four discussed about the the experience, Dylan explained what happened to him and how he ended up meeting Jade, Maritess and Paul also shared their findings in the forest wherein they were caught by this Gem Peridot, they found out about the contruction that was being held in the forest,the Gem kind were working with the Illegal Loggers that we're put off the position to deforestation of the Dockwoods. Jade introduced herself and explained that the invasion will make it's way when the Mother Ship starts it's course towards Earth, they needed to tell the village, so they ran through the forest guided by Jade.

As they arrived the village everyone went to their home and warned their parents, as for Dylan he went to her mother with Jade, he explained where they went and told her that a Gem called Zirconia was mentioning her husbands name. 'You're father was a great man, I wanted you to know for a very long time, after the war your father and I met here in the village he decided to live here to avoid the issue regarding the events happening in the HQ...' She told Dylan everything he needed to know and so she revealed a secret Journal which justified his decision ones and for all, he read;

"December 28, 1997, I've made the biggest regret in my entire life, it's a burden that I will bring to my grave, I wish I've done better but I thought of humanity for it's last stand against the unknown beings that will soon comeback to terrorize the planet, everything we knew is not what it seems secrets will soon unfold and the shine will bright a better future, my love Zirconia if you happen to return to Earth, I'm begging you please forgive me, everything you know about Earth and how I felt for you is solid true, It just happens that I was engulf by my insecurities and thought of mankind itself against your kind at the time, but I wish it was made better than what I've done to you, as always I love you and forever be your human half." - Sebastian Ford

As Dylan read he realized what Zirconia meant, he told Jade about it and it made sense. Suddenly the skies turned green and the ambiance was off, they heard loud yelling outside and among the skies was an army of ships heading towards their land. In the village Maritess was rushing through each person looking to the skies saying, 'Everyone we need to evacuate immediately!' so does Paul, warning the people about the incoming attack, rumbling sounds of the skies can be heard. People were rushing through the forest because the ships were heading towards the village, Jade had no choice but to persuade the three to meet up at the village, Caroline went to the forest as well, and she led the people. Everyone was scared, but the four stood on the village waiting for the ships to land, Dylan was holding his Father's book, Maritess was wearing her hockey uniform, Paul was getting everything on his phone, and Jade was glowing her gem raising her arms towards the ships. Jade danced in circles summoning all the water that she can get across the forest and the country, she lifted it towards the ship to stop it from touching the land, but it wasn't effective. Large machines like the ones in the Kindergarten were heading directly on the ground, it touched the ground and incubated chemicals which made cracks on the ground and made the plants die and quickly turn to ash. They witnessed how this happened which made Maritess and Paul split in hopes to destroy this machines but it was indestructable. Finally the ships have landed and they were faced by Zirconia herself wearing an armor and wielding a massive sword. The invasion was sucking the land's life and was destroying each building that was in the village for it produced cracks on the ground and made tremors.
