𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗹'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩

I was still worried to death about how Grace was doing, but I decided to try and go to sleep as well. I got into bed in the guest room since I didn't want her to get woken up by me in some way. She needed as much sleep as possible.

After trying to fall asleep for at least one hour I realized it was really just a waste of time to keep trying. I tip toed into my room where Grace was still asleep, and I grabbed my notebook and a pen to write a letter to her.

I went into the guest room once again and I opened my window. I easily climbed onto the roof, also carrying a blanket that I had brought with me in case I got cold.

The night sky was filled with starts glistening and shining like glitter on a black surface. I sighed as I looked down into my notebook. I started off and I soon ended up with a whole page.

I felt a bit ashamed of what I had written, it was kinda cliche after all but that was okay. I climbed down into the guest room when the sun had already started to rise and when the time was 4:23am.

I tip toed into my room to put my notebook back in place and that's when I realized that Grace was awake. I placed the notebook on the desk and then I immediately sat down next to Grace.

"How are you feeling?" I ask her. She seemed more like herself now, even though she had only gotten an hour or two of sleep.

"I don't know, tired. My head is hurting as well." She sighs as she puts a hand to her head. "I'll go get you some painkillers." I say as I walk into the bathroom to grab the pills. I poured up a glass of water and I the walked back in the bedroom to hand it to Grace.

She smiled as a response before she swallowed the pill. "Thank you, Karl." She says. "Of course. I just want you to feel good, I hate to see you in pain since it genuinely hurts me too." I smile at her before I walk back into the bathroom to pour out the rest of the water in the glass before I left it on the counter.

I got in bed under the sheets next to Grace and I laid down so I was facing her. "Cuddle me, will you?" She asks. I could feel myself heat up by the question. "I'm glad to." I smile at her as I put my arms around her.

Her in my arms and me in hers, we fell fast asleep.
Why do I care so much about her? It's just a simple hangover. No need to panic.

I woke up in the same position as I fell asleep in, but without Grace in my arms. I sat up, looking around the room without spotting her. I got up and I walked around the house to try and find her, but she was nowhere to be seen. Even as I shouted her name, she didn't answer.

I started getting more worried as I started to panic more and more. The thoughts went through my head about what could've happened to her.

Maybe she passed out due to the head ache she had tonight. No... no no no!

I started to panic more and more as I looked more fiercely for her around the house without a single sign of life.

When I had searched through every single room and corner of the house, I still couldn't find her. That was when I heard the door being closed behind me. I jumped as I turned around to see Grace.

"Yikes, you look like you just saw a ghost!" Grace laughs as I roll my eyes at her.

"Where where you?" I ask her after she had caught her breath.

"I went out for some fresh air and then I heard sounds coming from inside, so I guessed you were awake. I see I was right." She says as I walk towards her to pull her into a hug.

"I was worried sick, I thought you had passed out or something since you weren't answering when I called your name." I say before we pull away again.

"Oh, I'm sorry." She says and I could see she was blushing. "No need to be sorry. Are you feeling better?" I ask her as we walk over to the living room. "Yeah actually, I'm feeling better than earlier."

"I'm glad to hear."
