It's been weeks since Colby chose her but I've been lowkey hooking up with Brennen to distract myself from them being together. Brennen does things Colby never could and I loved it he treats me how I deserve to be treated.
Brennen and I have been keeping our little thing a secret from Colby because if he found out he'd go crazy.
"Gem are you coming to our pool party tonight" Sam asks me from across the table
"Who's gonna be there?"I ask
"Well Jake's parents are in town so we are gonna have a little pool party" Sam replies
"I'll come yeah" I say knowing full well I'm spending the night avoiding Colby.
*time skip*
I walk out to see everyone's here even Amber I spot Brennen and walk over I'm just in a red bikini so I walk with a little sass past Colby and to Brennen. Colby stares as I walk by and Amber slaps him lightly.
"Hey Brennen" I say hugging him and he grabs my ass making sure Colby sees it
"Colby saw that ya know" Sam interrupts
I look over to Colby as he marches over to us, his face is glowing red with anger.
"What was that about them?" Colby spits at me
"You moved on and so did I" I snap back
"Yeah but with my best friend!!" He shouts and everyone looks over
"Colby now isn't the time for this! Stay away from each other all night" Sam snaps at both of us
"But...." I start
"But nothing just stay away from each other if you can't be nice" Sam snaps again
"Fine" Colby says walking off with Amber
I sit down on a stool and drink whatever Brennen made. I drink it slowly and it burns going down.
Me and Brennen spend the rest of the night dancing with each other and bonding with everyone. Towards the end of the night I realise that Colby and Brennen have disappeared I walk around and see them sat in the living room talking I creep to a spot where they won't see me and listen.
"Colby I'm making her happy why can't you accept that" Brennen practically spits at Colby
"Cause I just broke up with Amber because I said I still loved Gem" Colby spite back and stands up
"She doesn't love you. You cheated on her!" Brennen stands up and shouts
I stand up because I know that Brennen sometimes gets violent
"Brennen calm down" I say walking over and putting my hand on his chest
"I'm calm" Brennen smiles putting his hand on my waist
"Colby I've moved on I don't love you anymore" I say to him and walk away
