Chapter Thirty-One

"Liam, go home,"

"I'm not going home," I crossed my arms, stood in front of him as we stand in Scott's kitchen. Malia and Stiles is upstairs, trying to get something so Malia can sniff him out.

"Stiles won't allow you to go," I point out, smirking a little as I lean on the counter.

"You can convince him, can't you?" Liam gave me those big blue puppy dog look.

"Stop trying to influence my girlfriend," Stiles had walked over to us with Malia. "Liam, go home. You're not coming with us."

"Why not?" questioned Liam.

"Because," Stiles begins as he moves pat Liam and stood near me, turning around to face Liam. "It's a full moon and I don't feel like driving all the way down to Mexico just have my you rip my throat out."

"You can lock me up, right?" Liam suggested. "Chain me down to the back seat or something?"

Malia side glances at us before looking at Liam. "You tore through the last chains, remember?"

"Yeah, we'd have to freeze you in carbonite to get you down there," I remarked, rolling my eyes.

Unexpectedly, Stiles turned to me. "You've seen Star Wars?!"

I know he has seen Star Wars, so, truth be told I might've watched the entire series so I can somehow relate to him other than supernatural stuff. "Duh, I'm not dumb," I chuckled.

"Oh my God, finally someone who's seen Star Wars," Stiles points in my direction. "Have I told you I love you yet?"

I giggled, a blush forming on my cheeks. "I love you, too,"

"Guys?" Malia questioned. "Can you do that somewhere else, please?"

"Okay," Liam stepped in, shrugging. "Then where do we get carbonite?"

I looked at Stiles' reaction, his once 'I'm so happy I could die' face, was instantly gone. He pressed his lips together. "Seriously, you haven't seen it either?"

Stiles turned on his heel. "Wait!" Liam pleaded and walked towards us, now he was standing in front of us. "What if we put me in the trunk?"

"You'd get out of that, too," Malia spoke matter-of-factly.

"Liam, you've been a werewolf all of five minutes," Stiles reminded him. "You don't have to do this."

"I know I don't," Liam whispered. "But I want to. There's gotta be bigger chains, a bigger truck or something. There has to be."

Stiles had his thinking face look on. "Maybe there is,"

I now watched as Derek's friend, Braeden, pulls up with a prison transport van in an abandoned parking lot.

"How'd you get a prison transport van?" My boyfriend asked her as she stepped out, walking towards us.

She smirked at us. "I'm a U.S Marshal."

"Yeah, I just thought that was just a cover," Stiles honestly opinionated.

"Are we really bringing him?" I looked over and saw my own father hope out of the van with my Mum attached to his side, she gave me a wide smile. I smiled back at her.

Derek still doesn't like the idea of Stiles and us together, but I think even before our relationship Derek and Stiles have always had a rocky relationship, now Derek has an excuse to be even meaner to him.

And I guess, it doesn't help that Liam's here either, Derek's still a bit antsy about the whole thing to be honest.

"Are we really bringing him?" Stiles retorts back and gestured over to Peter.

"We're bringing everyone we can," Peter spoke clearly and I walked over to Mum, giving her a hug -- she pulled away from Derek's side. "And considering Scott and Kira were taken the night before the full moon, we should probably get going."

"What's that mean?" asked Malia who stands opposite them.

"If Kate took Scott back to the same temple that she took Derek, how do we know she's not planning to do the same thing?" Peter quizzed.

"What, she wants to make him younger?" Liam asked.

"Or take him back to when he wasn't a werewolf," Derek spoke and I pulled away from Mum's embrace.

"A werewolf can't steal a true Alpha's power," Peter informed. "But maybe a Nagual Jaguar, with the power of Tezcatlipoca behind her... Maybe she can. So, if everyone is sufficiently freaked out, I say we get going."

"We can't," replied Stiles and everyone's eyes landed on him. "Not without Lydia."

And that's when Stiles tried to reach out to Lydia by calling her, this lasted for a long ten minutes. He explained that she was at the school, we told her that she should get something of Kira's.

"What's she doing at the school, anyways?" Derek questioned, looking over at Malia.

"We got Kira's sword," Malia had held up her sword. "But we need something with a stronger scent. Lydia went to get a jacket out of her locker."

Stiles came back. "Nothing."

"If she has a car, she can catch up to us," Braeden spoke.

Peter points over at Braeden. "That's a good point, we'll call her from the road."

"No, what if something happened?" I asked and Stiles nodded. "What if she's in trouble?"

"Fine. You two stay, you two can find her." Peter had told us. "We're gonna go without yous."

Stiles and I looked at each other as Peter had walked over to the van. "I could call Mason," Liam had offered. "He has a study group at school. Maybe he could look for her."

Stiles had sighed. "All right, fine." I, however, was unsure of this action and with the amount of records Lydia holds for almost being killed at the school there alone, there's a 50% chance something's going to go wrong with her.

"Addison, you're in the front of the van with Braeden," Derek told me.

I gave him a look, this was probably the first time I've talked to him since our argument. "Why?"

"Because, it's a full moon," Derek pointed. "You're going to be in the back with Liam and if you stay in the front, via nothing can happen to you,"

"Oh, yeah, thanks," Stiles had muttered as he passes me to talk to Malia.

"I was gonna call shot gun anyways," I rolled my eyes and waited for Stiles. He gave her a smile and Malia nodded.

"Remember what we're dealing with here," Peter had put on a jacket. Stiles had walked back over to me, Malia walked back over Peter. "It's not just Kate, it's Berserkers. You might see human eyes behind those skulls. Do not assume that there's any humanity left."

"Oh," Liam muttered beside me.

Peter smirked. "This little one is terrified of them, aren't you? Don't worry, my friend. It is that fear that will keep you alive. A reminder to everyone. You do not fight Berserkers to survive, you fight to kill."

I looked at Stiles worriedly as everyone goes to their cars. "This wrong, leaving behind Lydia."

"I know, I know," Stiles tells me gently, his thumb stroking my cheek gently, giving me a small smile. "But, as Braeden said, she has a car and she'll catch up to us, okay?"

That still doesn't ease the unsettled stomach. "Okay," I sighed. He then connected our lips gently together. I pulled away when the van's horn blasts my eardrums, I looked over at saw that Derek pulled away from the staring wheel, giving me a cocky look.

"I hate him," Stiles mumbled under his breath and I rolled my eyes. I gave Stiles' a peck on his cheek before walking towards the passenger side.

And so, let the roadie begin.
