Chapter Thirty-Three

The church was scarier at night. I've only ever been to Church once, Mum had dragged me along one time, I'm still not wholly sure why till this day, but when I went there in France, there were lots of people.

It was bright colours, and coloured glass that somehow represent God in a way, there were polished seats and clean floors, there were happy people. I had met a girl in that Church; her name was Katie, she acted a little weird, to be completely honest.
I didn't think any of it back then, I had the mindset that people who went to Church were weird. But when I went there, I changed mind, people are actually charming, and they were opening and accepting.

That was probably the first and last time I ever went into Church, Mum never brought me back there, and I'm still not sure why I would've been keen to go back.
But, as I entered this Church, it's nothing like the one I went to. Completely the opposite. Everything was pretty much trashed as we entered where all the seats are, it was dark, zero light comes in, and windows are broken.

"This way," spoke Peter as we continued. We walk down in the middle either side of us were once seats, but are now trashed seats. We had picked up our pace and walked down some old hallways; I had no clue what was going on, I just gripped onto Stiles' hand. "Okay, everyone stop, stop, stop!"

Peter had stopped abruptly; he was leading the way. "We gotta figure out where we are; then we gotta figure out how to find Scott and Kira." He continued.
Suddenly, Stiles' phone went off, and I frowned. How do we have service here? Stiles pulled out his phone and looked down at the contact; it was Noah calling him.

"How do I even have service..." questioned Stiles. "Hi, Dad." He walked past Peter, letting fo of my hand. "Okay, Dad... I know you're angry,"

"Oh, I'm beyond angry," Noah told him. "I have reached a level of fury that you could not possibly comprehend."

"Okay, well, when I get back, you can ground me," Stiles offered.

"Ground you? Ground you?" Noah repeats angrily. "I'm going to hobble you! Now, please, tell me you're all right. Tell me that you're safe."

"You want me to lie?" Stiles questioned.

"OhGod," he mumbled. "Tell me, tell me what I can do. How can I help?"

Stiles had this look like an idea popped up to his mind. "Yeah, actually... Lydia. She was at the school when we called Mason to look for her, but now we're not hearing back from either of them. I don't know, Dad, I don't know what I'm doin'. You know, I'm just... I'm just trying to save my friends."

"Okay," Noah spoke softly. "I'll find Lydia and Mason. You get Scott and Kira. You save your friends."

"Dad, if one of the Berserkers at the school, you're gonna need firepower. A lot." Stiles advises him.

With that, Stiles had hung up and walked back over to us. Liam lets out a sigh. "What do we do now?"

"Duck," Malia spoke and placed a hand on the back of Liam's head, pushing him and herself down, and I jumped back when a Berserker swung a fist forward, letting out a growl.

"Get down," Peter ordered. "Get back. Go, go, go!" We all ran away from the Berserker down the halls, but the Berserker was quick. We rounded a few corners and came to a somewhat open area.

"Go find Kira and Scott!" Malia spoke as I stood next to Stiles, Malia had chucked Kira's katana towards Stiles who had caught it. "Go!"

I nodded my head and grabbed Stiles' hand before we rushed off down the halls again, Liam, Peter, and Malia are going to defend us while we find Scott and Kira.
Neither of us spoke a word. At least I can fight, and I have my gun, so, that way I can protect Stiles and I need to, plus Stiles ha Kira's katana... I think we might be okay.
