Michael's POV

I hear soft cheering and laughter from the seats in front of me, and Joi slowly pulls away but gives one last peck before she burys her face into my neck. I look towards the seat to see that there's a small lens wedged between the seats.

"You guys recorded that? Seriously?" I scoff, rolling my eyes.

"Raw emotion; besides Joi told us too," Calum reasons, flashing a cheeky smile.

"I told you guys to record his reaction when he saw me, not us kissing," Joi explains. She places her mouth near my ear and whispers, "At least we can see if we look hot making out now." I look at her and she flashes an innocent smile causing me to smile and shake my head.

"What did she say to you?" Luke asks, still having the camera focused on us.

"Nothing," I play it off. "Turn that off and listen to the flight attendants dude."

Luke flips me off and sits straight in his seat, as I put my arm around Joi. She nestles comfortably into my chest and I kiss her on the forehead.

"Hey, we're on a plane together," I muse. The plane is rolling on the runway.

"Yeah, we are. Who knew?"

"You did obviously, why didn't you tell me?" I ask.

"And miss seeing your reaction which included you hitting your head on the compartment when you got embarrassed when you thought it might've not been me? Please." She scoffs but kisses my jawline. "You have stubble," she observes.

"Okay, it was kind of funny I guess. And yes, I am a grown man." I retaliate, getting a little laugh out of her.

"Yeah, okay. Whatever helps you sleep at night." She says again.

"I have what I need to help me sleep at night now," I say softly, absentmindedly playing with the ends of her hair.

A couple moments pass by, with just the noise of the plane and chatter from the other passengers. But all I could really focus on was that Joi was actually here, beside me in a plane.

"Hey," she says, breaking the silence.

"You know what I love about having the window seat?" She asks as the plane takes off into the evening sky.

"The view that you're about to see." I reply with a confident smile.

Her eyes have that sparkle and she nods in response. She takes a look out the window and in the window I can see her reflection; she's smiling with content.

Luke's right, it won't be too bad of a flight after all.
