Explanation for the joke: Black holes are formed when a massive star gets destroyed, rather dies. Stephen Hawking gave groundbreaking theories on black holes among various other astronomical phenomena.
Neither matter nor light can escape from a black hole as the gravitational force of inside a black hole is immensely high, high beyond our imagination. Matter gets crushed to the point of infinite density... Anyway, too much scientific talk. The thing is research has shown that anything entering a black hole escapes from it in the form of Hawking radiation.
