"What was that about?" Daryon asked as the group walked down the street.
"That old man is either a con artist or delusional," Ero shook his eyes. "Either way, he had no right scaring you kids over his mystical mumbo jumbo. It's unacceptable, and he will face the consequences."
"I don't know..." Daryon said. "Ero, can you just let it be? If he's delusional, then maybe it's not his fault. We shouldn't punish him for that."
"If he's delusional, he shouldn't be running a hotel," Ero answered. "It's dangerous for the people who stay there. But enough about Mr. 'Psychic' and his 'readings.' We're here."
The group had stopped in front of a small building, with an intricately painted sign out front. "Pokémon Trainer Fan Club: Celebrating Excellence For Over A Decade!"
"This is the PTFC," Ero explained. "It's a sort of tribute hall to PokémonLeague Champions from across the world. It also provides lodging for any trainer competing in the Kanto Pokémon League."
"What about Max and I?" Skye asked. "Or even you?"
"Oh, the solution is very simple," Ero smiled. "We lie."
"What?!" Skye replied, taken aback. "You want us to lie to them?"
"Yes, basically," Ero said. "When a group comes in, the front desk usually only checks one person's Trainer ID, so it shouldn't be an issue."
"I think what she's getting at," Cameron explained. "Is not that it isn't possible, but rather how unusual it is to hear a plan like that from you."
"Really?" Ero shrugged. "I can have a wild side too, when I want too." With that, he entered the building.
"That was weird," Skye said, surprised.
"Eh, that's Ero for you," Daryon chuckled, following Ero inside, the rest doing the same.
