Wedding Bliss

August

Today was the day that I was gon' officially make Desire my wife. I was so happy and blessed. The beauty of it was that she had no idea that she was getting married today. She was with Nedra, Netra, her mother, my momma, and Sylvia. She thought that they were just having girl's day out, but she was gettin' pampered fa' a reason.

"Aug man you don' come a long way and I'm proud of you nigga." Twan said as he squeezed my shoulder.

"Yeah man. I neva' thought that I would be hea' about ta' become a married man with a baby on tha' way. All I can say is that I am blessed."

"True indeed. We got blessed wit some good women." Twan smiled and shook his head.

"Yeah we did, but when you and Ned gon' make that move?"

"Real soon bruh, but right now let's get you married first. You kno' all them ho's out'chea' gon' be mad cause they can't get the dick no more."

"Shit I don't need none of them when I got all I want and need at home. Fuck you sayin?" I smiled.

Tony and David walked in the den and sat down.

"What's goin on fam?" I dapped them both.

"Just chillin waiting on 5 o'clock to get here. I'm ready to see how beautiful my babygirl gon' look." David said smiling brightly.

"I kno' I can' wait to see her either. This moment gonna be epic."

"Bruh yes it really is, but I'm proud of you and happy for you. You and Desire both deserve to have happiness after what all you went through." Tony said.

"Thanks bruh. It's been a long time coming."

We sat and talked about everything, but I was tuning them out because my mind was on Desire.

Desire

We had been moving none stop and I was tired as hell. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing, but it wears you out. We had just left the spa and now we were headed to get something to eat before we got our hair done. I can understand doing all this if something big was about to occur, but its just New Year's for crying out loud.

"Desire what's wrong sweetie?" My mother asked.

"I'm tired and I just wanna lay down and go to sleep."

"Well guess what? That ain't gon' happen no ways soon." Ned said too excitedly.

I looked at her upside her head like she was crazy, hell she was crazy and now that she is pregnant she is gonna be crazier. I'ma pray for Twan because he is gonna go through it.

"She is right Desire." My grandmother said as we made it to a nice sandwich shop.

I flopped down in a seat and I told my mother what I wanted to eat. I grabbed my phone and decided to call August to see what he was doing. I pressed his name and listened as the phone rung. On the third ring he answered.

"Hey baybeh."

"Hey babe. What are you doing?" I asked looking at Netra and Nedra talking about something.

"Just chilling right now. You miss me?"

"I always miss you. I just wanna come home and cuddle with you, while you rub on my growing stomach." I sighed heavily.

"Aw you will get to, but I want you to enjoy your day of being pampered."

"I am and I thank you for this, but I'm just tired."

"I know, but it will be all worth it. I gotta go, but I will see you lata. I love you Desire."
