Jason P.O.V.

I stand at the arena at camp half blood. Percy isn't here yet, and it's five minutes till noon.

Piper comes up to me. "Jason, are you sure you want to do this?" She asks. "I'm rooting for you, but I don't like this..."

"Pipes, hey, it's okay. I'll win quickly and this'll be over." I smile at her. Gods, I love her.

"I don't know, Jason, in Kansas you two were pretty evenly matched..." Piper trails off.

"But I've gotten more training than him since then. Piper, I can do this." I say confidently.

Piper nods and is about to say something else, but Percy comes into the arena. Annabeth leans against a lamppost, smiling smugly. Gods, I hate her. I would love to wipe that smile off her face.

Percy stands awkwardly, pen in front of him. "So, we start... when?" he asks.

I glance at my watch. Three. Two. One.

"Now." I say. "Powers allowed." I flip my coin, which turns into a double edged sword. We stay in our stances, waiting for one to make a move.

Since Percy is a coward, I charge. I swing my sword to the left side of his head, and then just before his parry would have reached me, I swing my sword and jab at his chest. Percy, however, was anticipating this. He dodges to the right and spins his sword in a hook motion. I duck under his arm and he jabs at my stomach, then arcs the sword over my head. I stand straighter and call a lightning bolt, but Percy deflects it with his blade.

It goes like this for about ten minutes, na so can feel myself tiring. My only hope is that Percy is as tired as me, but is just a good actor.

He summons a blast of cold water, which I roll under. However, I can't get up fast enough and Percy's swing almost hits me. To dodge, I skyrocket up about 50 feet from the ground.

Thinking he can't reach me up here , I throw my sword down. Just before it would have gone through his skull, he summons a large tidal wave. Forming a ball of water, he stands on it to fight me.

Then I realize- oops, I'm weaponless.

Percy rolls towards me, and his water consumes my air. Soon I'm on his ball of water with him.

Percy grabs my wrist as the ball of water dissolves. He then lands on the ground next to my sword.

He knocks me to the ground, but I spring back up quickly, falling on top of him. He lands on the ground with an "oof". I pry his sword out if his hand, and go to pull my sword put from under him.

As I'm doing this, Percy rolls over so that he's on top of me. He grabs his sword from me, and grabs my sword which is a little ways off.

Putting them both at my throat, he says, "I win."
