Panchaali's POV:
Why in the heaven was I here? I asked myself for what felt like the hundredth time as I heard my aunts and the other ladies of my house gossip, this sucks. Get together with my family sucked! I hated it. I would rather be out shooting heads of some goons than sit here, pretending to be interested in what Mr Malhotra's daughter did, I mean who cares? It's twenty first century, who cares who does what. Maybe they did, I however had zero interest on whose daughter did what or whose son was dating whom.
"Beta Panchaali you should try the new haldi face pack it cleanse the skin pores, there's no doubt you are beautiful but if you became a little more fair, you will look marvellous." Aunty Veenita said as she gave me one of her plastic smiles, my color, my problem, I wanted to snap back but held back my tongue as my mother gave me one of her famous 'mom' look. Really the woman could practically read my mind, I don't know how mothers knew that their child was about to do something stupid before they even did it. It was creepy as hell!
"Oh Panchi, I was surprised that you got 90% in your exam, but do you know Mr Khanna's son got 95%! If only you would have gone to the tuitions I suggested this wouldn't have happened." Aunty Disha began, I just smiled, mentally I was rolling my eyes, typical her. I think I scored pretty good and that too without any tuitions, I don't see the point of wasting my money in extra tuition classes, when I can manage studying at home just fine. "I'll get you all some coffee." I said trying to get away from them, I stood up and moved to the kitchen. "Maria! Serve coffee to the guests." I order and ran up to the attic, where I knew all the idiots of my group were.
I pushed the door open and entered in, "You guys are such idiots! Left me alone all there!" I shouted as I stomped in, "Well good to see you too cutie." Aryan bhaiyaa said from where he sat on the rocking chair, a novel in his hand as his eyes focused on the pages, I huffed as I looked at my elder cousin, the man was handsome as hell but was mostly aloof, the perfect picture of mystery. Aryan was a well known business man, with a sharp strategic mind and with a body of a god, he was well known among everyone. The pride of Ranavat Family, the golden son, his only problem? The guy hated making conversations, he'll rather sit and read than talk to anyone. Aryan Singh Ranavat, the only son of my father's elder brother, the pride and joy of our family, everyone family or not were crazy about him but he? He didn't give a damn whether they lived or died, the man of mystery always made headlines in news for all the achievements, he had did his masters in business management from Harvard, started his own company and now was the youngest millionaire in India, one of the richest men in the world, he was the head of us all losers, for some reason he enjoyed our company, he was the only member of our team losers, who wasn't a loser. Strange, but like I said everyone in my family were epitome of strangeness.
