Chapter 20: It Hurts and You're Scared

You scream.

The turtle seems startled by your reaction, and jumps back.

He gets back up.

"No, it's okay, hey, shhhhh." He coos.
You continue crying.

Your scared and in so much pain.

He tries to come close to you, but you scream every time he tries.

"What am I supposed to do?" He asks the others.

They all shrug.

"Can I come close to you? I won't touch you, I just wanna look." He tries to reassure you.

You don't answer him.

"Please?" He says.

You slowly nod your head.

He comes close to you.

"Can I see?" He asks gesturing to your arm.

You slowly bring it up.

It hurts with every movement.

He looks at it.

He winces.

He looks into your eyes.

"Do you trust me?" He asks.

You nod your head.

He gently touches a part of your arm that doesn't hurt.

He takes his other hand and puts it over the part where the knife is.

Not on it, just above.

"Can I take you to my lab so I can get this out?" He asks pointing to the knife.

What would you do?

Trust them, or go to the nearest hospital, which isn't that far?

You decide.
