Chapter 23: Screaming

You scream.

The turtle gets up and starts running towards you.

"Hey, it's okay! We're the good guys!" He says.

You back up to the wall.

He keeps coming towards you.

"Mikey, stop!" You hear a voice say.

You close your eyes, preparing for the worst, when you feel arms wrap around you.

You open your eyes.

He's... hugging you.

You're in shock for a minute, but then you hesitantly hug back.

"You're safe now." He says to you.

You let go of the hug.

3 other turtles are standing behind the orange one.

"I can't believe that worked." The one in red says.

"Hugs always work!" The one in orange says.

"What's your name?" The one in blue asks you.

"(Y/n)." You answer.

"Hello, (y/n), my name is Leo." The blue clad says.

"I'm Mikey!" The orange clad says.

"I'm Donnie." The purple clad says.

"Raph." The red clad says.

"Hi." You say.

Leo holds out his hand.

You grab it and stand up.

"Are you okay?" Donnie asks.

"Other than the shock of meeting 4 mutant turtles, I'm fine." You say.

"Did you get hurt?" He asks.

"No." You reply.

"What were you doing in an alley, anyway?" Raph asks.

"I was waking home from school, and the route I usually take home was closed. So I had to either take the sidewalk around, or go through the alley." You explain.

"Why didn't you take the sidewalk?" Mikey asks.

You explain to them the reason why.

"I guess that make sense." Raph says.

"I would like to take you to my lab to make sure you didn't get any internal injuries, if that's okay." Donnie says.

What would you do?

You feel fine, but Donnie seems really insistant.

Would you go with the guys, or go home before Lilliana gets mad?

You decide.
