Will opened his eyes, the first thing he saw above was a lush green canopy, then closed his eyes again before remembering that the place in the Gulch he was camping in doesn't have a green canopy, he sat up instantly and looked around, he was in a small pool of creek water, he wondered how he got here, his first guess was that he had died, but as he felt his body ache he realized he was alive. he then remembered what had happened last night, the battle, Rose charging at him, him falling into the the creek, getting knocked out the darkeners throwing his stuff in the creek, "wait" thought Will "if I washed up here then that means that my stuff could be nearby" he got up and looked around, the creek that carried him here was besides him, and to the other way was only thick forest, he started to walk out of the puddle he was in when he spotted his backpack where he stored his  journal the previous night, along with other survival tools, he started walking towards it but then discovered that  the creek was much deeper and faster. "If I walk through that I would surely end up farther away from home... there must be another way across" he then started to wander around, occasionally yelling if there was anybody out there, eventually he came up to a rotten log standing close to the creek, "if I knock this down maybe I can use it as a bridge... but how am I going to knock it down?" thought Will he leaned into the log to think about it when he heard a loud Crack from behind him, as the tree started to fall backwards, almost taking Will with it "well I guess it must have been rotten, i'll just cross to the other side and hopefully find a place to stay overnight..." he stopped at that last sentence "I don't think i'm getting home today..."  and off he headed to the other side to recover his bag, "ah here it is !" exclaimed will as he picked up his journal out of his waterproof backpack "thank heavens she made it waterproof... It's getting late though" said will glancing up at the sky. The sun was on its highest point "OK maybe not late but I need to find shelter..." said Will to himself "man I wish I had a phone" and like that he went off into the wilderness...

somewhere far more upstream Craig and his friends were making his way up the creek into the overpass, it had been a quiet trip for most of time, but as they were approaching the overpass Kelsey stood up and pointed "hey, why is the overpass fortified?" "wait, what?" answered Craig as he looked into the overpass but there was something wrong with it, at the top there was a walkway made with flat wooden boards and towers on each side, each bearing the mark of the mill, a mark which meant trouble, seeing it struck Craig with fear, kelsey with an opportunity to fight the king's forces, and J.P. with... confusion...? well he was confused at first until his friends reminded him of it, then it was all worry for him, "oh no! what if they already captured him?, who is going  to protect us?" J.P. shouted before getting hit by an arrow "me" said a voice from the front of the raft, Craig looked over and saw his friend, Omar otherwise known as the green poncho standing in the raft with them "sorry to startle you guys like that" said Omar in his chill voice "but I have been on a 'red alert' of sorts, as you can see the king took over...'pass" Omar smirked a little at his own pun before continuing "I was on vacation during the weekend and they built a fort, you got to appreciate how fast they work" he looked over to the fort before going on "when I came back, I had to kick them out, and I stayed with the fort," Craig then interrupted him "but why are you on 'red alert'?, did someone sneak by? did the king find another way in?" "not so much as sneak by, but rather float by" said Omar " it happened yesterday when I was leaving the creek I saw someone down under the creek when I tried getting him I mis-stepped on this" Omar pulled out a steel rod from under his poncho "it looks like it came from a sleeping tent, by the time I looked over he was gone... so have been looking for him" "do you think they are a spy?" Kelsey asked "that's the thing" Omar  said "he didn't  look like they were from around here, at least not anyone I know" just as he said this a familiar horn sounded throughout the woods "dinner already ?" asked a dismayed J.P. "yeah it does seem early," said Craig as he looked into the afternoon sky "but it's probably because of daylight savings, come on we have to go" "before you go, I have to ask you for a favor" asked Omar "tomorrow, could you guys look for the guy ?" "look for him? we don't even know what he looks like" said Kelsey who although a bit worried,  was itching for adventure "don't worry I'll tell you the details tomorrow" said Omar reassuringly  " oh and hey isn't that one of your dino-grabbers?" "wait where?" said an astonished JP as he looked in the water Kelsey and Craig right after, "wow thanks Omar...oh he's gone" said craig as he turned around "well we better get going, we still have to make the journey back"

as the sun began to set and everyone in the creek started going home leaves rustled and grass was getting stepped on it took a while for everyone to leave the creek, except for two, wildernessa who was staying late that day and Will because he had no other choice.
