Craig of the creek: From beyond the creek

Jeremy's plan

Jeremy had finally made it to Leviathan lake, where Rose was, he could see her, standing at the top of the tower that was in the middle of the lake, she was looking at the moon absent-minded, Jeremy pulled a lever that was covered in vines, causing the water in the lake to be disturbed and the ground to shake, then the shaking stopped, and a drawbridge emerged from below the water piece by piece, connecting the shore to the central island of the lake, where Rose's tower was, this lake had been abandoned long ago, when the power plant in it's vicinity closed, the lake was made public, since then all the radiation has gone, and now plants grew and fish swam, giving the lake an emerald green color during the day, but during the night, the water became as reflective as a mirror, copying the night sky, which was always clear, regardless of how polluted the daytime sky was, it always seemed to go away when the sun set, as Jeremy walked through the bridge he thought about this place, it seemed so familiar, even though it had just been found by Rose, it still seemed so familiar, maybe because this used to be Will's favorite fishing spot ? no it couldn't be... but could it though ? suddenly Jeremy remembered, yes this was the place were they fought the monster fish, back when Jack, Rose, Him, and Will were all a group, and back when twitch and phantom were... still among them, Will was fishing for food, because on that day they were camping, but then Will almost got pulled into the water, but Jeremy caught him, then rose helped, and then everyone hanged on until the fish jumped out of the water, it was like an alligator mouth crudely pasted onto a fish body, it snapped at them furiously, it still had chunks of it's last meal stuck to it's teeth, the fish was massive, almost as big as Will at the time, eventually they pulled it out of the water, it snapped its huge mouth at its capturers, and the fins trying it's best to move backwards, it was great catching such a big fish, but then Will looked into the eyes of the creature, at the time no one knew what Will saw in the eyes of that river monster, Will suggested to take a picture of it, and as soon  as they took the picture Will rolled the fish back into the water, once in the water in went to the murky depths and disappeared, before coming back into the surface and snapping at Will, but they were friendly snaps, if you can even call it that, since that day Will came to the lake to throw some of what he caught into the lake to feed the big fish, just as he was thinking about that day he heard some snapping and saw a fin go back into the depths, Will called this creature 'snappy' due to it snapping everytime Will or his friends was around, then something clicked in Jeremy's mind, Rose picked this place to guard, not to mess with him, but to try and find him, after all, if Will had made it  out alive, he surely must be somewhere around, right ? well, after thinking this through the whole bridge (it was a pretty long bridge) and finally called up to Rose "Rose, rose, let down a freaking vine, because I don't want to use the stairs" Jeremy yelled with a chuckle, ... no answer, at least not until she dropped a brick down from above, barely missing Jeremy, causing Jeremy to jump back and fall back into the water, before being thrown back to shore by snappy,  Rose looked down and yelled "I ain't your Rapunzel ! take the stairs lazy boy !" Jeremy sighed, he went through the stairs as fast as he could, by the time he got up the tower he had to catch his breath, Rose meanwhile rummaged through her bag, and pulled out a water bottle and tossed it to Jeremy, who caught it, and downed it on the spot "you know, for being as agile as you say you are, you still have one weakness" said Rose with a smile on her face "and what is that ?" asked Jeremy, even though he already knew what she was going to say next "you're fat boy,  and another thing, you're ugly" she said playfully "hey at least I don't starve myself to be thinner like you do pal" answered Jeremy just as playfully, normally people would take these as insults,  especially those around Craig's age but as you grow up, so does your humor, and Will, Jeremy, Rose, and Jack are no exception, "so what, happened ?"asked Rose, "what do you mean what happened ?" answered Jeremy "I mean, why are you here, I thought you were 'conquering' a kingdom" "oh yeah, well..." "you got your butt kicked didn't you ?" "what ?! no! that's preposterous... okay, yes I did get my butt kicked, but you aren't going to believe who it was" "a seven year old like the last time you tried to conquer a kingdom" "not this time, it was Will" "WILL?!" asked a very surprised Rose "yup, I thought the same thing, we fought, I lost, I knocked down a castle out of the sky, bing bang boom, and we were trapped in rubble, we eventually got out, but we had to work together" "I'm sorry but I still can't get over the fact that Will is still alive, I thought he drowned, all this time I been feeling bad thinking that I had... nevermind, go on" "well it reminded me of the time when we were all together, you know, when we were all 'the heroes of the gulch' so then I thought, why can't we go back ? there is nothing stopping Us we could-" "there's Jack stopping us, if we even thought of leaving jack would throw us into the creek just like he thought of throwing Will, who is his-" "no, listen, I have a plan, if we can manage to get Will back into the Gulch, and fight with him, we have a fair chance of defeating Jack" "but what if we don't ?" "let's hope we do..." "yeah..." "also, could I crash here tonight ?" asked Jeremy suddenly, snapping Rose out of her thoughts, "yeah... just stay on the other side of the tower, I don't want to inhale one of your toots during the night" "that isn't me, must be Jack" said an embarrased Jeremy "oh yeah ? last time I checked Jack dislikes beans and anchovies, and beans and anchovies are your favorite foods" Jeremy stayed quiet as he lay in his sleeping bag, "also have you seen my comb?  I haven't seen it in a while" "maybe if you paid less attention smelling my farts you would remember where you left it" Jeremy said with a chuckle while rose exclained "man, shut up ! that's not the only thing I pay attention to" "suuuuuureeee" mocked Jeremy and just like that they both went to sleep, on separate parts of the tower,  it was peaceful and quiet, that is until Jack revealed himself from the shadows. 

He had heard everything, he knew that they were becoming rebellious, this made him feel dissapointed, but he was expecting this, almost everyone so far at some point had betrayed him, even his own brother, he quickly made his way down the stairs, once outside only his silhouette could be seen from up above, he looked a lot like Will, except for his hair, originally brown like Will's he decided to dye it red, which was a way to differentiate both of them other than by height, he made his way across the bridge with no problem, snappy snapped at Jack as it saw him crossed the bridge, jack ignored it and made his way through the dark forest, he eventually got to his destination, the old factory, there was a rusted sign laying besides the entrance, it read "Du-p-nt Ste-l W-rk- a-d ele-tr-nics" he kicked the sign and made his way towards the main door, there were two Gravestones, one on the left one on the right, in front of each was a beacon, he went to the one on the left, the words on the grave read "Sara Dupont, loved daughter, inventor, mechanics fanatic. she loved this factory more than anyone else, she wished to never leave, and her wish was granted" Sarah's tombstone had blue and yellow colored flowers carefully placed in makeshift flowerpots made of old cans... whoever placed these flowers here must really care about Sarah... Jack quickly shot a firework into the beacon, lighting it up, it glowed a golden yellow flame, he then hurried to the other gravestone this one read "Oswald 'Ozzy' Lee, loving son, brother, and ghost chaser, poor Ozzy, rump of the litter, last one born, no one remembered him, until it was too late, and the fire had consumed him" Jack also lit this beacon with another firework, it glowed a ghostly white, then both flames went out at the same time, and the door to the factory shook and and slowly started to lift, once the door went up all the way, Jack calmly called out into the dark "hello Twitch, hello Phantom, long time no see, can I come in ?" there was silence, a lonely hoot was the only thing that could be heard, until two voices called out from inside "yes, it has been a long time, come in" said a female voice, then another voice, a male called out "come in mate, it's cold out there" Jack went in, once he went in, the door slammed shut. and the Gulch was at peace once again.
