As night was falling, and everyone had left the creek, Wildernessa was going through the creek checking to see that animals were alright before heading home until she saw a column of smoke rising into the sky "oh no, fire ?!" she thought loudly "Cheesesticks go boy! we don't have much time! " she urged to her dog to hurry through the brush and towards the column of smoke...
upon arriving at the scene of the "fire" Wildernessa saw that there was no danger just an unattended fireplace, cooking a fish with a bucket nearby holding more fish "ugh who leaves an unattended fire just out here" said Wildernessa clearly disgusted at this careless action before grabbing the live fish from the bucket and throwing them into the creek and using the water from the bucket to snuff out the fire, however before she could throw the water onto the fireplace a net fell down from the trees, trapping her, when Cheesticks tried to take the net off of her another net came down and trapped him as well. then someone jumped down from the trees and stood between the fire and them
the hooded figure spoke to them in a deep growl-like voice "well would you look at that ? and I thought this creek was abandoned." "let me go !" demanded wildernessa who wanted to sound tough even though she was terrified of this gigantic creature "why should I ?" responded the creature who was wearing a mask, it seemed to be made of wood, painted green with red feathers at the top, resembling hair, it had four horns, two on each side and a big toothy grin, "you released my diner, do you know how much time it took me to catch it without good bait ?! It took me hours !" said the frustrated creature in it's real voice " well yeah ! you were going to eat them like the monster you are !" said wildernessa in an aggravated tone " you can't just go around taking fish out of the water, it disrupts the natural order !" " If I don't get them then some other lucky bird will, plus what do you want me to eat ? berries?" "eat at your house like a normal person, ugh you are as ignorant as that Craig kid !" " what home ?" the creature said in a calm tone as he took off the mask revealing a face that wildernessa didn't know "who are you ?" "oh so now you drop the act" said the mysterious kid " well I guess I have to drop mine as well, my name is Will" he said "I got brought here by the creek, I have no idea where I am but all I know, is that you almost starved me to death, luckily I managed to cook one fish before you threw away my dinner" Will finished and took a bite out of his cooked bass "it isn't my fault you are stuck here ! stop eating my friends you monster !" Will ignored this "well I introduced myself, now I wonder who my 'guest' could be ?" said will in a low, threatening, but reassuring tone, wildernessa sighed and finally gave in " my name is wildernessa, I'm a protector of animals in the creek" "huh, that explains why you threw away my fish. What is your problem with me then? that I tried to eat your scaly friends ?" Will laughed "why are you laughing, you are the perfect example of humanity, horrible creatures that take and take and take" sneered wildernessa no longer afraid but angered at this arrogant giant "oh I'm sorry, is nature too much for you ? well this is nature ! its eat or starve ! even if humanity was gone the animals would eat each other anyway, there is no way to get around this fact, and besides, by wanting humanity gone you are dooming yourself as well do you think predators will let up an easy meal ?" after saying this Will's guest got quiet, he looked up at the sky, probably 6:15 "listen as much as I would like to keep you under that net for a while I got better things to do, I suppose you have somewhere to go, after leaving me with no food, and I supposed you are supposed to get there soon right ?" wildernessa begrudgingly nodded "so let me offer you something" Will continued as he paced in front of his guest " I let you go, in exchange for info, specifically, a map ? something that can lead me home ?" said Will "I know someone but I'm not telling someone who has me trapped in a net, and even if you haven't trapped me in the net I would never tell- wait what are you doing ?" asked wildernessa as she saw Will pull a rope down which lifted her up in the air and then tied the rope on a trunk before speaking again "well I suppose I can leave you there all night, if you don't mind I'm going to go grab me some water" as he started going wildernessa spoke again "fine I do know of some one that can help you" as soon as she said so, Will let go of the rope slowly "tell me where I can find that someone and I'll take the net off of you" "look for a stump, one that has a chair above it" "that is all I need to know" Will took off the net, and went over to cheesticks who had been calm up until now, will took a dog bone he had on him and put it in front of the canine, before taking off the net, instead of pouncing on Will, the dog grabbed the bone, while eyeing Will suspiciously, "why did you have a dog bone ?" "if I had a dollar for every time I had to distract an animal that was about to jump on me, I would be able to buy everything in a store and still have some left-over" said Will no longer trying to sound threatening "now get out of here before I change my mind about letting you go, and I better not see you trying to come back again !" he continued as wildernessa mounted cheeseticks and left rather quickly, will finished eating his bass and went to his tent, but not before pouring the bucket of water into the fire and making sure it was extinguished.
once inside, Will took out his journal and began writing

place: forgotten forest
today is the first night I spend on this lush green paradise, I am unsure of how far I am from the gulch, but judging by how fast the creek flows, and how hungry I was when I first woke up, I assume I was out for a day or two, I am very lucky I did not drown on the way here, or caught a cold, and even luckier that this place has everything that I could possibly need to survive, there is a lot of fish ,I spent most of the day catching food, but with most of my equipment lost the creek it was hard, I also thought this place was void of human life, like the Gulch, but turns out it isn't, today I had an encounter with one of the locals, a dog riding girl, around 12 to 13 years old, claiming she was the protector of all animals, she came in and threw my hard earned fish back into the water, so I threw some of my fish nets down on her and her ride and scared them, although I think I was a bit tough on her, but to be fair she was a bit arrogant, although I wish I hadn't been so tough and menacing. Before I let her go I questioned her about a way to get out of here, like a map, she told me to look for a stump with a chair hanging above it, I'm not sure if she told me the truth or not, but it is my only hope of getting out of here, plus I should probably enjoy my stay, it's not always I get a "surprise vacation" like this, so I might as well explore this lush wonderland. tomorrow is another day, Will out.
P.S I decided to name this place the forgotten forest, since I feel like I have been here before, but, unsurprisingly, forgotten about it, maybe its from those tales my father tells me about all the time, about a kid society in the past, I'm probably tired, but you have to admit, the name fits !
