Len's POV:

I woke up to my alarm going off at twelve AGAIN.

You know what?

I took the battery out of it, unplugged it, and stuffed it in my garbage can. I don't think this is my mom anymore. Also how did I get in my room. Last time I checked I was face first on the sidewalk. After...

I shuddered. I knew that THAT time wasn't a dream. I head actually seen it happen...I had FELT everything that happened that day.

I listened very carefully and heard my mom puttering around in her room. I don't want her to ask me any questions about what happened. I'm just going to walk to school NOW.

I snuck downstairs quietly, pulled on my shoes, and went out the door. Miku was walking by...again? I am so confused right now.

"Hey!" I called out.

She paused mid-step. "Wh...what do you want?"

"N...nothing...can...can I walk to...to...school with you? If...if that's where you...you're going that is..." I added. I was freaked out! Miku was on my doorstep and she was dead! Or maybe...maybe I'M the one who's dead.

Maybe we're both dead and as punishment for all our sins we're forced to relive this day over and over again! But wouldn't Miku know? Why was I the only one noticing this? Why am I jumping to all these crazy conclusions when I might just be having some serious hallucinations.

"Why?" Miku's voice quivered.

"Well, we're both going the same way right?" I asked.

"I take the long way." Miku replied carefully.

I smiled. "So do I. I'm kinda hungry, I skipped breakfast. There's a little cafe down that way if you want to get some coffee and maybe a muffin?"

Her stomach growled. "I...I don't know...um...I'm not very hungry..." She stammered.

"Don't worry." I laughed. "I'll pay for it!"

Again as we walked down the road, she would flinch or jump every time my hands moved. And again, every time I opened my mouth she would tense as if to brace for impact.

"Yesterday was pretty crazy..." I began. "What with that statue breaking and all..."

Miku cocked her head. "A statue broke? Which statue?"

So she didn't remember?

"Oh...never mind. I guess I was dreaming..." I corrected myself. "Remind me...the recital was yesterday, right?"

She nodded a little and shifted uncomfortably.

"Your piece was my favorite. It sounded really hopeful, I think that's what it was supposed to sound like...right?" I grimaced at how corny I was sounding but I wanted answers.

"Y...yes. Thank you..."

We came to the coffee store just as they were opening. Just like what happened yester...today? In my dreams?

I ordered exactly what I had ordered yesterday. Miku was surprised that I somehow knew exactly what she wanted.

We went over to the station that had all the sugar and cream and flavorings. This time I put MY sugar in first. I smiled at Miku who was staring at my cup.

"I put a lot of sugar and cream in..." I laughed sheepishly.

Her lips turned up at one corner to give off just a ghost of a smile. "I...I do too." She mumbled.

So I had to make friends with Miku ALL OVER AGAIN!? GREAT! It took me ALL DAY to do that last time, and she ended up dying!

My goal was to NOT let her die.

Miku's POV:

I just finished wrapping my head with bandages and had pulled my hood over my head when a door swung open. A boy's voice called out: "Hey!"

I froze... "Wha...what do you want?" I heard my voice shaking. Great job Miku! SHOW them you're afraid and that will definitely get them to leave you alone!

"N...nothing...can...can I walk to...to school with you? If...if that's where you...you're going that is..." He stumbled over his own words. He looked like he had seen a ghost, and his voice showed he was just as nervous as I was.

I knew the boy...It was Len Kagamine. The most popular boy in the school. At least with the girls anyway. So why was the most popular boy talking to me? Even more strange...why was he STAMMERING?

Somehow he came to convince me to walk with him. I was terrified. He talked to me the whole time, I kept expecting him to turn around the conversation suddenly and say something...something like HE had said.

Len bought himself coffee and a muffin. He also got me coffee and a muffin, somehow he knew exactly what I would have wanted.

I picked up my coffee and muffin and was about to head out the door, but Len went over and sat at a table. He motioned for me to come and sit with him. I REALLY didn't want to...it was all to similar to what happened with HIM. But I knew I wouldn't be able to walk out that door. How could I just walk out when he had bought me breakfast?

I sighed and went to sit.

He smiled his million dollar smile that every girl in school was obsessed with. "This is nice. My past few days have been a nightmare, how about yours?"

"They...well they could have been better..." I mumbled.

Len took a sip of his coffee and then let out a breath. "How so?"

"Oh! Well um..." I started fiddling with my hair.

"Why are you covering your face with those bandages?" Len asked.

"I...I have to go..." I started to stand up.

I felt a pressure on my hand and saw that Len had put his own hand over mine. "No...you don't. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked you that."

I felt my whole face flush as I sat back down. Len smiled at me again which only made me want to run away even more.

We finished eating and finally rose to walk to school.

I have the strangest feeling, like deja-vu...

All I could think about is how angry Ruko will be with me. I could feel my stomach begin to knot just at the thought of what she may do to me.
