Len's POV:

We reached the school building. Luki was waiting for me outside just like last time. He again raised his eyebrows when he saw me with Miku.

I didn't have time for him right now. I waved to him and then held the door open for Miku. She walked in with her eyes on her shoes. Luki smirked at me but I decided to ignore him. I was already so flippin' nervous for some reason. Maybe because I DON'T WANT TO WATCH MIKU FLIPPIN' DIE AGAIN!

I am literally SO tired right now. I actually walked straight into a locker by accident.

Miku covered her mouth so I would see her smile. Hey it's a start right?

"Are...are you okay?" She finally uncovered her mouth when she was safely not smiling anymore.

"Uh...maybe?" I replied. "Man I have no idea what is wrong with me today."

I saw ponytail and her gang of girls. She was glaring at Miku and when she saw me she waved and smiled.

I hate girls. There are TONS of guys in this school, and I'm the only one who has no interest in them so of course they come after me. So if I become a nerd and try to get with all of them, maybe they'll leave me ALONE.

"Maybe it's all the sugar you put in your coffee." Miku actually laughed.

I cracked a smile. "Maybe...but I blame you."

"Oh...sorry..." Miku's smile disappeared.

Shoot.

"Ah! Sorry I didn't mean that!" I cried.

"It...it's okay, I'm used to it." Miku smiled wanly.

I caught Ruko DEATH glaring at Miku. I think it might be because I laughed and smiled. What!? Is a guy not allowed to SMILE anymore?

"Ouch...that's depressing." I smiled a little.

Miku smirked. "Y...yeah."

We got to the classroom kind of earlier. I sat down next to Miku and prayed nobody would kick me out of my seat. I was trying to avoid letting ponytail say anything to Miku.

The teacher asked us to pass up our homework from the day before. At least I had done my homework the night before so I didn't constantly have to do homework every single stinkin' today.

Luki is pretty much a straight A student, which is weird since he is the laziest guy I know. He raised his hand. "Um, I think I left my backpack in my locker."

Oh yeah I forgot about that.

"You may get it, but please hurry." Mr. Shion nodded.

Luki ran off and came back ten minutes later with his backpack. He rifled through it and then got a weird expression on his face.

"Um...my homework isn't in here..." He mumbled.

Mr. Shion raised his eyebrows.

"I SWEAR I put it in there this morning!" Luki cried.

Mr. Shion shook his head. "I'll give you one last chance to complete that assignment, but don't expect a perfect grade."

Luki sunk into his seat. Poor dude.

It was hard to concentrate on my work. I kept looking over at Miku and wondering how I could keep Ruko away from her. A few times she caught me looking at her, so I would smile. Then she would blush, turn back to her work, and try to ignore me for at least another fifteen minutes.

The bell finally rang for lunch and all the students stood to go except Miku and I. I didn't get up cause I was waiting for Miku to get up.

This whole dying business has turned me into a creepy stalker person!

"Are you going to eat lunch?" I asked.

"Um..." She blushed again. "I uh...I guess yeah..."

"Okay. Can I sit with you if that's okay?" I smiled.

She just nodded.

We walked into the cafeteria and went to the lunch line. I got a sandwich and what not. Miku got an apple and a coffee.

"Is that all you're getting?" I asked.

"I uh...um..."

"If you don't have enough money I can lend you some." I offered. "I always carry around extra just in case."

"That's really nice but..."

"Here just take it." I smiled and put the money in her hands. She took it without another word and bought herself a sandwich too.

We went and sat down far in the back and ate in semi-silence.

I became aware that there was someone else in this cafeteria who was glaring in our direction. And not at Miku, he was glaring at ME.

It was Meito. He was the school's pervert and playboy. He was also the boy who was on the roof with Miku before she fell.

Was he connected to her somehow? I mean obviously he was since he practically killed her, but was he one of the ones hurting her?

We finished our lunch just as the bell rang for classes again. The day is half over, I hope it ends well this time.
