14. Never betray me

''Huh?'' you asked stopping in your tracks. You couldn't tell if it was a joke or not. His serious voice made you doubt it was a joke. You had previously told him you wanted to move out that job made the dream possible.

''I want you to quit your job, y/n'' he turned around looking you in the eyes, his eyes were strangely dark.

There is no doubt he actually wants you to quit. You had never seen him look like that, it actually shocked you. You had seen him serious countless times, he is your teacher after all, but this isn't anything like that.

''Babe, you know I need the money, I can't afford an apartment if I don't have any money'' you said chuckling nervously.

''You should just move in with me as soon as you graduate, we don't need to be a secret then anyways''

''But why do you want me to quit? I would still need money if we happen to get to that point''

''I don't like it when you're there, I don't trust guys around you, you never know what they are thinking'' he stopped cutting the vegetables cupped your face, never letting go of the knife. He opened his mouth and said ''Of course we will be together, y/n, we're meant to be''

You couldn't believe he told you, actually more like ordered you, to quit your job. You liked your job, sure it was a pain in the ass sometimes, but you had a lot of fun there. You had tried to argue with him about it, but every time you did he brought the incident up. He kept telling you he didn't want similar situations to happen ever again, he was cheesy enough to say his heart couldn't bear it.

It made you feel really bad, as it was your fault for not trusting him, which he had a habit of reminding you about. Whenever he brought it up, you felt like you had to make it up, he could have walked away from you.

''y/n, do you have any goals in life?'' your boyfriend asked cuddling up to you.

''I do. I want to have a stable career, marriage, maybe a kid or two, and, most importantly, happiness. It's nothing big, just the usual, I guess'' you told him.

Oikawa let out a happy noise and kissed your cheek. Happiness is smeared across his face.

''Y/n, all those things are already guaranteed, I'll be the one to give you every single thing, on one condition though'' he sang.

''What's the condition, babe?'' you asked.

''Never betray me' he whispered in your ear.

Oikawa had become a lot more clingy and needy towards you than he was at the beginning of your relationship. He also had a habit of needing to know everything. It could be a bit much sometimes but you brushed it off as him being overprotective.

You still wondered what he meant with 'betray me', you have no intention of hurting him, and you really treasure him. You could feel the age gap when he asked you about your future goals, it isn't' anything you're thinking too hard about, however, he already seems to have his eyes on the goal.
