*Ginny's POV*

I wanted a snack, so I walked down to the kitchen. That's when I heard Margaret. I almost ran in, but paused when I heard what she was talking about.

"Molly, he doesn't talk to me anymore. He won't even look me in the eye. I made some improvements back when I went to St. Mungo's, but he's reversed all of them. He needs someone to care for him, and at this moment I can't. Teddy is my priority. I'm so sorry. He needs someone to feed him and cook him meals. I usually did, but obviously I won't be there now. I also got rid of all the alcohol in the flat, but he somehow gets more. There's a store of pepper-up potion in the cupboard above the stove though. He also needs some reminders to take a shower. You might just have to spray him with water. Again, I'm so sorry for burdening you with this on such short notice Molly." So Margaret was leaving George. And she came here to ask my mom to make sure he's still okay.

"Not a problem dear. You need to take care of yourself and Teddy. I understand, and it's obvious you still love him. I'll be sure to go over there to take care of him. Maybe he should move back into the Burrow. And Margaret, please don't be afraid to come visit us still. You might have broken the engagement, but we still love you here." At least my mom had the sense to not shun Margaret. Of course, she always hoped she would marry George. Now her dream is crushed and she's stuck with Fleur as her only daughter-in-law for the time being.

"Of course I will, Mrs. Weasley. I should be going now. I left George some breakfast and lunch so he should be fine until dinner." I saw Margaret get up to leave, but I stopped her.

"I know that's not why you left him Margaret." I said. "What did he do?"

"You obviously heard the conversation Ginny. I told your mother what he did." So Margaret needs some convincing. I dragged her outside to get her to tell me the whole story. She did. When she told me about him hitting her, I almost burst. How dare he do that? She's so much better than him. Doesn't he remember all the abusive people in her past? She doesn't know it, but I was awake when she was telling Sirius back at Christmas a few years ago. Poor Margaret has been through so much, and now George had to add on to that. And even worse, she's still protecting him. I can't believe it. I'm going to march over to his flat and slap some sense into him, like Margaret did with Remus last year.

I did this whole speech about how we have to stop letting men treat us like shit and stop making excuses for them. We're women and we're stronger than that. But I still shipped George and her hard. So I would go make sure that George knew he needed to get her back, but it won't be easy. And I had to make sure he knew that if he ever hurt her again, it will be him that is kicked out of the Weasley family and not Margaret. That girl has lost enough.

When Margaret left, I told my mom I needed to run into town for something. She was preoccupied with the news of George and Margaret, so she agreed and let me go. But I didn't go into town. I went to visit George.

The door to his flat was open, so I just walked straight in and into Fred's room where he was staying.

"Go away Margaret. I don't want to eat anything right now." George groaned. I think he's sobered up a little.

"I'm not Margaret. She's not coming back. She might never be coming back." I told George, sending him a death glare.

"What? What do you mean she might never be coming back?" He looked genuinely upset and confused. Great-he didn't even know she left.

"I mean exactly what I said. Look at the nightstand-see the ring? That used to be on her finger. She broke up with you this morning, but based on what she told me, you were probably too drunk to remember." I had no time for his bullshit right now.

"what did I do? Why would she do this to me?" He looked upset, but I wasn't having it.

"She did nothing to you. The better question would be-what didn't you do to her. Well, one-you didn't even notice she was gone. You took her love and care for granted and look where that got you. Two-she tried to help you, and you just pushed her away. Three-you ignored her even though she needed you now more than ever. Four-you minimized her suffering while maximizing your own. Too dense to realize she lost more, not equal, not less, but more than you did. Five-you left Teddy alone in the flat to go get drunk when you know Teddy is the thing she cherishes most in this world. Oh and six-you hit her. I could keep going on. Maybe you need some more detail." I said with my arms crossed.

"I-I hit her? I don't recall doing that."

"Because you were too drunk. Because you claimed that Teddy's cries were annoying you so you went to a bar and left Teddy here all alone. I hope you realize how much you royally fucked up, George. Margaret is way too good for you. After all the shit she's been through, she deserves someone who knows how to love and care for her and support her. You, so far, have done none of those things. If I were you, I'd be very concerned about never getting her back."

I continued on as George sat there in a stunned silence. "Honestly, I ship her with that therapist guy. His name is Brian, right? He's cute. Plus, he understands her struggles and they have a close relationship since she's been his patient for years. If you don't get your shit together, I am going to get them together." I knew Brian was dating Katie, but George obviously didn't.

"She wouldn't really do that to me, would she?" George asked. I walked over to him and smacked him on the back of his head.

"She wouldn't until she was absolutely sure she was over you. She loves you George. So much that she didn't even tell mom the real reason why she left you. I personally think she should have so you could have a good ass whipping. Maybe she should tell dad too. I'm sure dad would love to hear how you abandoned your fiancé and her kid and when you came back hit her. I'd get your shit together George if you ever want her back. But honestly, I'm beginning to think, if you really love her, you would just let her go. That way you can't hurt her by being a selfish git anymore. But she still loves you. And there's nothing I can say to change her mind. So go get her before it's too late." I leaned in really close. "And don't you ever hurt her again-emotionally or physically."

With that final threat I walked out and went back to the Burrow, hoping my message got through.
