Chapter One: Wainwright Academy Welcomes You

I fix my long midnight hair and adjust my silver locket as I look at myself in the mirror. I push up my cleavage and pull up my skirt, just a smidgen. I adjust my uniform stockings and I smile at my reflection showing off my straight, brilliantly white teeth. I blink my cerulean eyes and admire my clear, cream colored skin. I hate the uniform that I have to wear but I make it work.

I am the most popular girl in school for a reason. What most of the students at Wainwright Academy don't know is that I don't, in fact have, some nerd doing my homework for me, but I plan to keep that my little secret. People tend to act weird around overly intelligent people and, with a 4.0 GPA, I am only looked at as amazing because I lie about getting help.

I sigh. I love being smart, but, being part of the social status that I am, won't allow for me to be too smart and so I have to put on a blond facade and pretend to be a normal teenager with normal issues. This, initially, led me to dabble in the sexual deviancy I am now known for. It started out purely experimental and now I am a legend. I am what one would call a player because I couldn't chance a boy getting close enough to me to let out my hidden intellect; I tend to keep people at a distance. I try to steer clear of being put in the slut category though.

I pull on my lengthy midnight locks and tilt my head to the side. Oh, yeah, I look like an innocent, dumb blond alright. I walk out of my room and head off to my school, Wainwright Academy, school of the amazingly beautiful.

Yes, it has taken in some bad apples but one that took my particular interest is now gone, a one Ivy Garcia. She was a chubby girl but she definitely had potential to be stunning, too bad Chelsea had her expelled. Chelsea Hendrick, she is my worse frenemy and I only tolerate her because her dad does business with mine. She doesn't know this, of course, but I don't expect her to be smart enough to figure it out.

Walking into the building, I am immediately swarmed by admirers. I walk through the crowd and find Chelsea and Analise Nicole; she dropped her last name because she wants to be more like Angelina Jolie.

I notice that we have a few trouble makers on the football team. I will have to speak to the football captain about that. I pride myself in keeping the peace in the academy; we certainly wouldn't want a scandal involving a rape victim or another Chelsea incident. I like to nip things like that in the bud.

I walk over to said boys and they back away, already aware of my bitchy reputation that I work so hard to achieve. I smile coldly.

"Hello, boys. I hope you aren't going to be a problem this year. We wouldn't want another Marco Dott incident, now would we?" I ask as pleasant as a snake.

"Who's Marco Dott?" one of the troublemakers asks. I look at him and lift a perfectly plucked eyebrow.

"Exactly. I am sure your team captain will inform you on how things work around here, right, J.J.?" I ask the quarterback. He smiles his signature smirk and throws an arm over the newbie.

"Sure thing, Lexa, sweetheart," he says.

"Flattery will get you nowhere, man-slut," I say with no edge to my voice. He puts his hand to his heart as if wounded. He isn't.

"Oh, that hurts, Lex. I just want to get in your good graces," he says. The damn liar. I walk up to him and he backs against the lockers. I run a hand up his muscular chest and he shivers under my skilled touch. I grab his tie and pull him to my level but at 5'8" it isn't too far.
