Maura's POV

I woke up and went downstairs and saw matt sitting on the counter eating cereal.

"hey muchkin" he said

"hi" i said

i went up to Nash's room to wake him up so we could go see hayes.

"nash" i said

"huh" he said

"can we go see hayes?" i asked

"come here" he said

i walked over to him and he pulled me next to him and hugged me, "ive missed you"

"nash i didnt go anywhere" i said

"yeah but were not as close" he said

"i just want hayes to come home" i said and cried into nashs chest

"i know mar, me too" nash said

"i wish mom was still here and dad was fine and we all lived together and everyone was fine" i cried

"your living in a disney princess' life, thats not realistic" nash said

"cna we just go to hayes now" i asked

"yeah, but im staying in this tshirt and sweat pants, im just gonna put on mocasins" nash said

"im wearing yoga pants and hayes magcon hoodie because i cant find mine" i said

"hayes is probably down to your knees" nash said

"lets go" nash said and then we walked downstairs.

"matt, do you wanna come?" i asked

"sorry munchkin, but im going home today" he said

:im gonna call you munchkin" he said

"how long are you going home for?" i asked

"everyone is going home except for cameron, for about a month" he said

"a month?" i asked

"yeah" he said

i gave him a hug and then we left

we got to the hospital and saw will in the waitig room pushing his hands through his hair, thats not a good sign.

"will, what happened?" i asked

"maura stay here, nash follow me" will said

"tell me now too, im not 5" i said

they walked away and then nash didnt come back but will did.

"maura, last night hayes took a turn for the worst" will said then i cut him off, "is he dead? just tell me"

"no, but the cancer is everywhere in him, hes really sick, he is in surgery now, he should be done in a few hours, they cant get it all they are just going for the biggest piece which is in his stomach" will said

"if he dies then im gona die too" i said

"stop maura" will said

"im just telling you the truth" i said

"you start school tomorrow" will said

"im not going without hayes" i said

"yes you are, now stop" will said

"why are you being like this, your telling me to stop about everything" i said then got up and was walking out of the hospital with my head down when i walked into somebody.
