Chapter 24

One month left of school, one month left of my last school year. God, why did it have to go by so quickly? I hated the fact that all of the time just flew by. I was sitting in Dada class this time it was my actual class, not my teaching class. Professor Smith was just teaching us some smaller lessons about famous wizards and witches. He thought since we only had a bit left and no exams he would make classes enjoyable. Did I mention he decided to have our classes in the courtyard? I was sitting on the ground while Sirius sat behind me on the bench. Lily was beside me on the bench while James was standing with Remus and peter. We all just listened to and enjoyed the class.

After the class was over I walked over to professor smith. He looked at me and smiled

"y/n I'm only in my 20s almost thirty, I will stick as a DADA teacher until you come here to teach okay, so no one gets the job and takes it from ya, sound good," he said

"Oh no, you don't have to do that for me. Go live your life, you always told me how you wanted to travel after you left Hogwarts" I said

"Well I'm doing this as your friend y/n, not your teacher, you deserve this position and I will do that for you," he said and I began to think about it.

"I guess. But once I begin teaching you must take that trip to Spain, you always talk about going. So go okay" I said and he nodded

"Thank you for being a wonderful student," he said

"Thank you for being a wonderful teacher," I said and gave him a side hug which he returned. I let go and went to go find Sirius and the rest of the gang. I headed back inside the school and found lily we began walking to potions class which was our last class of the day. 

Once we got into the classroom lily and I sat together in the back. Peter and Remus were sitting at the desk beside us. Lily and I began to speak.

"So lily when do you and lover boy think you guys will get married?"
I asked

"Not any time soon," Lily said with a laugh

"Well when it does happen I better be your bride's maid," I said with a laugh

"Oh, that reminds me since Sirius and I are getting married soon I was wondering would you be my maid of honour?" I asked and she quickly jumped at me

"Yes!" She said as she hugged me tightly

"Great but lily? I need air!" I said and she let go

"Sorry y/n I was just excited," she said

With that professor, Slughorn came into the classroom and began his lesson.

"So lily I was thinking of having the ceremony in James back yard. His parents offered and I think it would be a beautiful place to have it" I said to lily as we sat in front of the fireplace

"I think that would be perfect just a small ceremony, " she said and I nodded

"Yes because we need to not draw attention to ourselves. Plus we are only inviting James's family, Remus, Peter, you and Bella, frank, Alice. It will be quick and simple but a memory that will last" I said

"Yes, will you be having a small party after?" She asked

"Yes, again James's parents said they will have the house and backyard for that. They will be helping out with everything." I said to her

"Well, that's very kind of them. Do you have your dress?" She asked

"No, I do not. I was asking if you could help me pick out one on the Hogsmeade trip tomorrow" I asked
