The way things had been all week had me dreading the next few days, the wedding venue was being set up and it was getting crazy. I hadn't heard from Ariya since last night. I was walking inside my house when Qiyan burst out of the bushes holding his chest. I ran to him with open arms catching him. "Whoa man, are you okay and what's wrong?" He was going down quickly, but he was still trying to push this odd feeling. " It's Ariya, I tried to call her through mind link but she won't answer it's like we aren't even mated. " His wolf howled out. Even I could feel it, he looked he was having a hard time.

"Maybe it's because she's not joined into the pack yet. " I spoke, it was a true suggestion and it made sense. I took his arm and helped in inside the house where I laid him on my couch. He looked up at me and frowned. "Maybe but still look I was coming back from training and it was like I was suddenly mortal for a moment, it was very brief. Then I lost all air, and I was becoming light headed. Nothing has ever made me feel that way." He rubbed his throat as if the ache was still there.

I frowned this also confirmed my own inner feelings, this week had gone completely horrid for me, my aunt was the stand in bridezilla for Ariya and it was taking a toll on me. She had me moving things, and being an errand boy, I had to go to the cake tasting too, which was the best part about it. She let me pick the cake and Ariya agreed, we picked four different cakes and headed home after that.

"Robin hasn't heard from her either, ever since we were supposed to meet that night, it never dawned on me that she could be missing. Or gone even, is it possible that all this was possibly to much for her? " I heard a growl come from Q and I immediately knew why. "Sorry man, I'm just thinking, I feel like my guilt is taken over, she should have just came with us and she would be here." He stood up and began to pace. I could feel his emotions loud and clear. The anticipation and anger of not being to contact his mate was getting to him. He began to scream orders at everyone through the mind link, I called Robin and in moments she was walking in through the door.

She took a seat next to Qiyan and spoke out. "Why weren't you with her an hour after we left?" He stared at her, the look could burn through steel. "We will find her though, we have to start now and I know exactly where." She stood up and grabbed Q and I, pushing us toward the door.

"We are heading toward the school, on my run last night there was a man standing there, atleast I thought I saw a man. He was in a trench coat and a hat. He had green eyes that seemed to glow in the dark. " She had their full attention now and she kept talking. "He slipped into the darkness, the shadows of the dim areas. He only did it when he heard the leaves under my feet."

I looked at her, I couldn't have been more proud of my mate for carrying about her physical health more than my cousins wedding. I hugged her softly, I would keep the affection to a low, I had to stay cleared headed for my family. We were walking along the paths to the school house and stopped in front of it, I was retracting the darker spots from the path. It was pretty dark.

Qiyan spoke his voice quiet. "He hid in the shadows until she came out.  He had to, it's too much light that way. But how did he get to her?" "We're you here that long to see?" I asked her. "Nope. I left when I saw him walk away. Well he walked through the dark parts and I didn't stick around either. "

"Hmm. Through the shadows but not out of them." I watched her. "How didn't he see you?" She watched us both. "I was in wolf form. He must have come back after he knew I was gone."

One of the guards came through the trees. "Sir the children in Cartige say they saw a giant, and a screaming lady on his shoulder. They know which he went to."

We traded looks and moments later we were sitting in front of three children. A little girl in a pink dress and her two brothers who wore shorts and t-shirts of different colors.
