Chapter 3: We aren't exactly besties

"Oh god there he is." I sigh as we walk in to the gym wearing our gym clothes. For me I'm wearing basketball shorts and a tank top but almost all the other girls are barely wearing anything. Of course this is only going to make me stick out more, lucky me! And please just take a moment to notice my abvious sarcasm!

"You know he is pretty cute." Keely says starring at him.

"Of course he is cute he is an Alfa, all Alfas have the amazing looks of Greek goddess'." I say as Keely just chuckles.

"That is pretty true." She smiles at me.

"We have a new student today." The gym teacher says suddenly walking in to the gym. "Aisling step forward please."

"What you want sir!" I say jumping forward and saluting him earning a laugh from both Keely and Gunner.

"Since you are our newest student and your old school didn't transfer any of your physical education records we will be testing you." He smiles as I sigh. I mean I'm amazing at running and fighting but he is just picking on me, who makes a person take a test on their first day of school? A party pooper that's who.

"Do I have to?" I whine.

"Yes you have to." He says in a harsh tone.

"Now Derrek step forward you will fight Aisling so we can decide her fighting ability." He says as a huge buff guy walks toward me.

"Couldn't I fight someone a little, um I don't know. My size?" I ask gesturing to my small body.

"In the real world you will fight people and wolves of all shapes and sizes." He says and I sigh.

"Now fight!" He says as me and this 'Derrek' guy start circling each other.

"Your form is amazing, someone must have trained you well." Derrek say starring at my fighting stance.

"I started training when I was four with my dad." I shrug and Derrek lunges for me and I easily dodge.

"Amazing, most girls don't even start to learn until age ten." He says amazed.

"Well, I'm just different." I reply and I sneak a punch to his face successfully breaking his nose.

"That you definately are." He says as he tries to side round kick me, but I Jump in the air high enough for him to miss me. Then as he begins to recover from the missed kick I take the change to kick him in the stomach then pin him to the ground successfully completing a school version of human form fighting.

"That was very good Aisling, I will expect nothing but greatness from you." He smiles as I nod at him and walk back over to Keely.

"You killed em' Ash." She smiles, she always loved watching me fight when we were younger.

"Thanks." I smile as I side hug her. I let go of her and I hear clapping, not a whole bunch of people but just one and I can tell its directed at me. I turn around to face Gunner with a smug look on his face slowly clapping.

"Nice job Fire, you took down one of my best fighters." He says as my mouth opens slightly.

"Was that seriously one of the best fighters you have? That's just sad, He was pretty easy to take down, he had so little fight in him. It only makes me wonder what your pack is like in battle." I say and immediately regret. As soon as regret hits me I'm slammed up against a wall hanging by my hands that are pinned up above my by a furious Gunner.

"Never doubt my pack." He says with pitch black eyes.

"Okay, on one condition." I smirk taking advantage of his current state. "You have to fight me."

"Done!" He says as he throws me to the middle of the gym so we can fight. I land with a thud and quickly stand up. I decide to play with him a little more. I walk up to him and put my hand on his shoulder and stare in to his eyes.

"Are you sure you want to fight me? What if I get hurt?" I say with scared eyes as I slowly run my hand down his arm leaving a trail a goose bumps as his eyes turn back to their normal color.

"I would never hurt you." He whispers loud enough for only me and him to hear.

"But I would hurt you, never let down you guard!" I say as I punch him in the stomach making him hunch over. I then pinch one of his nerves making all his muscle freeze long enough for me to pin him to the ground.

"You are one feisty girl fire." Gunner says as he stares at me as I proudly sit on top of him.

"So, how did the first day go!" Alfa Clark asks as soon as I walk in to the pack house.

"Well," I pause trying to find the right words. "I met Gunner, he is quiet interesting." I say looking up at Alfa Clark.

"Oh god what what happened." Alfa Clark says with an exasperated look.

"First off, we aren't exactly besties." I say. "I first met him when he accused me of insulting him, but that happened before I knew who he was. After that things between me and him got weird." I say finishing up my quick little story.

"Well I haven't gotten any phone calls so that must be good." He smiles at me." I guess I will see you at dinner Aisling." He says as he starts to head back to his study.

"Okay Alfa see you then." I say as I turn to run up the stairs to my room. why did Gunner decide to pick on me! Oh the struggle!
