21: New Dorm Mate (Josh)

Josh's POV:

I collapsed onto the spinny chair next to my new desk, pushing myself around in it. I'd finished putting my clothes away and putting up a few posters and decorations and stuff and I was just waiting for my dorm mate.

If I even had one.

I set up my Bluetooth speaker and began playing Parasite Eve by Bring Me The Horizon. I rested a pen on my cheek just bored and had nothing to do.

A few minutes later, I heard the dorm room door unlocking, I grinned, finally excited to introduce myself.

I swiftly got up out of the chair and quietly peeked my head through the door.

Oh it was a girl! :)

This will be interesting.

I saw her wipe her forehead dramatically and wheel her suitcases to the sofa. She looked around a little, and that's when I stepped out. "Hey! I'm guessing you're my new dorm mate."

"Oh my goodness you scared me!" She jumped, after I spoke. "Haha, sorry, that wasn't my intention. I'm Josh." I smiled, holding out my hand. "Oh, for God's sake. Do I look like a hand shaker?" He rolled her eyes, chuckling. He reached up and hugged me, before poking my chest after pulling away.

"Well, Josh. I'm Melanie." She grinned. I ruffled her hair and looked down at her bundle of suitcases. "You need help unpacking?" I asked.

"What? Oh, no I'm fine, I think, I don't know." She laughed nervously.

"I mean I don't want you seeing my bras and stuff cuz that's a little weird since I don't know you yet." She laughed, raising her eyebrows.

"Right. Anyway, welcome to our new dorm for the next 2 years."

"Ugh, really? I'm stuck with this douche?" She joked. "Hey, at least get to know me first!" I frowned, chuckling.

"Likewise, Joshua. I'll see you in a bit."
