Eloise's POV:

I was in the backyard reading while my big brother, Harry, flew around on a toy broom, Uncle Siri and Uncle Remmy watching him.
"Come on Elle, you gotta try this!" Harry told me, flying over to my spot under the tree.
"I'm not sporty. I also don't wanna fall." I told him, eyeing his broom wearily.
"Come on, I won't let you fall." He told me. I slowly set my book down on the soft grass and stood up. He landed and handed the broom over to me. "You can just hover, I won't let you fall." He told me confidentially. He's nine and rebellious, obviously he's gonna say that. I wrapped my hand around the handle and slowly mounted. I kicked off softly and I was hovering. I suddenly started going up.
"Harry, why's it going up?? I don't want it to go up! How do I get it to stop??" I panicked.
"It doesn't do this to me, I don't know. Lean forward and touch back down." He started panicking more. I tried to do as he said, but the broom kept rising.
"GET ME DOWN FROM HERE!!!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO THIS BROOM HARRY JAMES?!!!??" I screamed at him.
"Nothing!!!! I don't know what's happening!!!" Hardy yelled. Sirius and Remus ran over quickly.
"I want doooown!!!!!" I started crying. Sirius summoned his broom from the shed and got up to me quickly.
"You need to let go and reach over to me. I won't let you fall." He cooed, coaxing me. I removed one hand slowly, shaking slightly. The broom moved suddenly and I gripped it even tighter, the hand I lifted off flashing back down, my heart hammering in my chest. "Shh, love, you're ok, you can do it." I am as brave as a Gryffindor, I can do this. Be like Mum and Dad and Grandma and Grandpa. Sirius took my hand so it wouldn't go back to the toy broom, doing the same with the other. He lifted me over to his broom, having me face him. He clutched me to him and watched the toy broom fall. Sirius moves slowly back to the ground and stood there, holding me tightly.
"I'm so sorry Elle, I swear I didn't know that would happen." Harry apologized. I cuddled into Sirius, tears still slipping down my face and onto his shoulder.
"Harry, can you hand me Elle's book? I'm gonna take her inside, she's shaking like a leaf." Sirius hoisted me up higher on his hip and headed inside.
"I don't like brooms.." I whimpered. I heard the front door open and close.
"We're back!!!" Daddy called.
"Over here." Sirius called.
"Why is my daughter scared? Black, what did you do?" Mummy growled protectively at him.
"Harry offered to let her try out that toy broom Remus got him for their birthday last year and she went on. The broom, for some reason, malfunctioned, and kept rising up. I went up on my broom and got her down and now, she's terrified of brooms."
"Come here baby girl." Daddy cooed to me. I reached out to him and he took me softly and I buried my face in his neck. I'm nine years old, and now, I'll never be able to look at a broom again, much less ride them during lessons when at Hogwarts.
"Mum, dad, I swear, I didn't do anything! All I did was offer her a ride I didn't know anything would happen!" Harry said, coming into the kitchen.
"We know Harry, it's alright, she's not hurt physically, she'll be ok in a few hours." Mum told him softly.
"You wanna go upstairs, love?" Daddy asked me softly. I nodded and he carried me from the kitchen and upstairs. "I'm sorry you got so scared, love, it worked for Harry, I don't know why it didn't work for you, are you ok?" Daddy asked, running his fingers through my hair softly. I only nodded a little. "You were so brave up there, Ellie so brave. Wanna tell me what you thought about to take your hands off to get to Sirius?"
"You, mummy, grandpa and grandma. You and mummy were Gryffindors, and you're both Aurors, you're fight bad guys. Grandpa and Grandma fought You-Know-Who to save Harry and I when we were little, they're brave. And Mummy's brave because she still comes near me when I get mad. I've got the Evan's temper." I giggled. Daddy laughed at that and held me closer.
"You're gonna be a great Gryffindor. Or Hufflepuff, we'll see."
"Mummy would've been an amazing Ravenclaw, she's really smart. So is Uncle Remmy."
"Are Sirius and I not smart???" Daddy feigned hurt and shock.
"In your own way. You and Uncle Siri are more sport smart instead of books smart like them. I wanted to be both... but I'm not very sporty, I'm sorry."
"You can still run a lot faster than anyone I've ever met and you do not have to be sorry, you just gotta be yourself, love."
"Ya think??"
"I know."
"I love you Daddy." I whispered, leaning more on him.
"I love you too baby girl." He whispered back.
"Can I take a nap before dinner??? And can you stay????? I don't wanna be alone but I'm really tired." I told him.
"I'd carry you around if you asked me to. Don't tell Harry, but you're my favorite." He whispered playfully. I giggled madly, leaning on him even more. "I'll stay with you. Why don't you go change while I head down and to the study to grab a book and tell the others your gonna take a nap."
"Ok." I told him as he set me down. I grabbed my unicorn, muggle onesie and changed in my bathroom. I headed back in and saw both Sirius and Dad.
"Hey munchkin." Sirius lifted me up when I went over to him. "You doing better?"
"Yeah."
"I hear you're tired. Mind if I stay in here with you too?"
"You can stay." I agreed
"You look adorable." Daddy cooed coming over and taking me once again from Uncle Siri.
"Mummy got it for me a few weeks ago." I told him.
"Why didn't I know of this?"
"Because she couldn't find one that Harry would like and she thought he'd be upset. I didn't wanna make him jealous, but she bought one on her laptop that she got to put in the study and it's on its way."
"Well it's very soft, much like you." Daddy teased.
"I am not soft. I am a lioness, hear me roar." I growled, acting like my fingers were claws and held them up.
"You're a unicorn right now, love, not a lioness."
"Stooooop." I whined to Uncle Siri. "I'm trying to be intimidating."
"Big words for a small girl." Daddy teased.
"Mummy gave me all of her old school books to read, obviously I know big words." I glared at him.
"Your glare is the exact same as your mother's. So many times she's glared at me like that." Daddy smiled, staring off into space.
"Uncle Siri, can you get me away from the loony man holding me??" I asked him innocently. He snorted, but did as I asked while Daddy looked offended.
"Alright, nap time." Uncle Siri said with a chuckle. I was put under the covers before they both kissed my head and sat on the couch in my room. I slowly fell asleep, listening to them chuckling and laughing softly at something they were talking about. If only everything could stay this peaceful...
