Ch 16 - Obstacle Race

"Hey! Someone's trapped under!"

"Wouldn't that kill them?!"

"Will people die at this sports festival?!"

Yasumi was worried for a moment before she heard a faint thud. She watched as someone broke through the metal layers of the robot.

"Like I'd die!" Kirishima yelled as he rose. 'Kirishima...' Yasumi sighed in relief when she realized it was someone who could take the damage.

"Kirishima from Class 1-A was underneath! That's crazy!" Mic said in shock.

"That bastard, Todoroki! He timed it on purpose so it'd be right when they fell," Kirishima grumbled. "If it hadn't been me, someone would've died!"

Yasumi flew over to him. "Are you alright?" Yasumi asked with a worried tone.

"Hm? Honekōzō? Yeah, I'm fine," Kirishima said, a bit surprised to see the brunette checking on him even while they were competing against each other. Suddenly, just a few feet away from them, someone else had started breaking through the robot.

"That Class A..." A student, who seemed to be completely made out of steel, broke through wearing a furious expression. "...really is filled with bastards!"

"Tetsutetsu from class B was also underneath! That's crazy!"

"If it hadn't been me, someone would've died!" Tetsutetsu growled.

"Our quirks are pretty much the same! I have a hard enough time standing out as it is!" Kirishima whined as he began to run up the robot.

"Wait, you little—!" Tetsutetsu was right behind him. 'Practically twins...' Yasumi thought to herself with a slight deadpan expression before an explosion behind her caught her attention.

She looked over her shoulder and gasped, quickly moving to the side as Bakugou propelled himself up and above the robot.

"Like I'd let you get ahead of me!" the ash blond student yelled as he dodged the robots.

"Class 1-A's Bakugou! Since the bottom's blocked, he goes overhead! Clever!"

Yasumi shook her head. 'Focus!' She then began flying over the robots with ease, she needed to stop getting distracted if she wanted to win this. She quickly passed the robots along with Bakugou, Sero, and Tokoyami.

The brunette looked over her shoulder to see her classmates as well as other students fight through the robots. As she looked back forward with a small frown, she couldn't help but feel like she was at too much of an advantage with her type of quirk.

"Hey, hey! The first barrier's a piece of cake?" Present Mic's voice snapped her out of her thoughts as she focused on what she was doing. "Then what about the second?" He asked as Yasumi finally took notice of the lack of ground beneath her. "If you fall, you're out! If you don't wanna fall, then crawl! The Fall!" Present Mic announced as the students at the start of the pit stopped, intimidated by the deep drop.

'Now I'm at a real advantage..' Yasumi thought to herself as she paused a bit to look down. She couldn't even see the bottom, it was just darkness. "I sincerely hope there's something to catch anyone that falls..." Yasumi deadpanned before continuing on her way.

"A lot of different people are working hard for their chance, huh, Eraser Head?" Present Mic asked as Aizawa made a noise of irritation.

"What are you idiots stopping for?" Aizawa asked.

"And now, the leader of the pack is easily getting through first!" Ahead of Yasumi was both Bakugou and Todoroki. Todoroki was gliding on the rope that froze under his feet while Bakugou used his explosions to propel himself through the air.
