ty to everyone who reads this and comments and votes, it's very appreciated I promise 🥺 I promise I am trying my hardest to update but i'm not the brightest gal in the world so work w me 😼Thank you verrrry much to the person who suggested the part 2 to chapter 3 which I promise i'm in the process of writing. I've been wanting to do this for a while though but after this part 2 is coming
The wind is light, the sun is out, clear skies, and it's warm. A perfect day. A perfect day that is actually about to become much better. And no one has a clue what's going to happen.
Katara has a secret, and she has no intentions of keeping it. She can barely keep her squeals in actually. Something life changing happened, that'll make her husband scream with joy. Something her father will be happy with. Katara is pregnant.
She found out a week ago, but didn't want to tell Aang immediately. Aang is so excited to have a child, that she wanted to tell him properly. He wants a new generation of airbenders, and he wants to do that with the love of his life. All Katara needs is the right moment. Although, she plans on having their friends over today to break the news to them too.

It was about 3pm, and Aang was home after a bit of aid work. He was helping Katara set up the table and clean up a bit, not suspecting a thing.
"You know Aang, I think maybe I should set things up by myself for a second, you can wait outside for the others and tell me when they're here," Katara said to Aang, in a bit of a dismissing tone.
"Look, I know I'm not the best at this, but I wanna be able to help you out Sweetie."
     "I know, and I appreciate it more than you know. I appreciate you being here, where I can have you with me as long as I want."
She smiled at him. Katara could feel the sincerity in his voice. She can tell he feels bad about not being around so often as how Republic City requires a lot of his attention. It just makes her wanna tell him she's pregnant all the more.
     Aang saw her contemplating and grabbed her hand. He noticed how today she seemed a bit more anxious. He made the mistake of assuming it's because it's the first time all their friends are seeing the house they bought together, which is only part of it. Aang always thought of when they would have kids finally, but he doesn't expect it so soon either. He wants Katara to be ready herself, since she's the one who carries the baby.
     "Even when I have things to settle, you're always the one I want to go home to. You're my forever girl, remember?" Aang said, making Katara laugh. The nickname he had given her when they were young had always been the cutest thing to her.
Katara put her head on his shoulder and he kissed her forehead, still hand in hand. The little gestures like that meant a lot to them. He worked his way into having her in his arms completely, swaying her calmly, and kissing her cheek. Aang could feel she was nervous, so he snuck little kisses on her neck and cheek, which ultimately worked in calming her down. With the sun hitting both of them through the window and the loving energy they both shared, it was a perfect moment.
    To Katara, that was a perfect moment, which meant it was the right moment to say what she needed to. She let go of his hand and placed it on her stomach. Aang gave her a confused look. She's not totally surprised he doesn't understand.  So she looked him in the eye and told him instead.
     "Sweetie, I'm pregnant."
      Aangs eyes widened larger than you could imagine. You could practically pin point the second he truly took in her words. His mouth opened into an O and he practically jumped. He genuinely took a second to fully take the news in, before then grabbing Katara and holding her up in the air. His laughter filled the room.
    "Oh my god are you serious? You're pregnant? We're having a kid? I'm going to be a father! I'm going to have a child! There could be another airbender again!" Aang said at lightning speed. Katara laughed at his excitement.
    "Yeah Aang, we're having a kid. And that kid is going to have the best parents ever." She replied.
    Aang put Katara down and took a second. Aang had always wanted a child, Kataras child, and a chance at another airbender being born. And now it's happening, it's real. He couldn't help but kiss her. She was everything he ever wanted, and now they can start a family with eachother.
     And with them sharing such a special moment, came Toph, Sokka, Suki, and Zuko all walking towards their doorstep. Now with Aang knowing of the pregnancy, all they have to do is spread the news to them. The pregnancy is a big thing to everyone, but to Aang it means the world. And for Katara, nothing will ever beat the joy on his face from the moment he found out.

i like to imagine Aang was very enthusiastic about each pregnancy.
