Deku's (aged 4) POV
I was bullied relentlessly all day after they found out. Kachan granted me the nickname, "Deku." Other words, worthless. I can still be a hero, right? No, that's not possible. I don't have a quirk to save anyone. I don't want to walk with Kachan home. I think I'll do the opposite. The streets are full of lots of people with quirks. Why can't I be one of them? I can feel the tears starting to shed, I'll just keep walking. I can't hear a single thing at all, their voices have become all mixed together, I feel dizzy.
*What's that noise when you bump into someone? Well anyway that's what's happening here*
"Are you okay?" a boy asked when I was just about to say sorry.
"No..." I mumble as I start to burst into tears.
I look up to see a boy with messy pale blue hair put his arms around me. Huh?
"It's okay, I don't know what happened, but let's get you home, okay?" he tells me in this comforting way.
I nod.
"What's your name?" he asks.
"Izuku Midoriya," I replied between short breaths.
"I like your name Izuku! Mine's Tomura Shigaraki!" he tells me cheerfully.
I smile, though the tears are seeming to stop. Would they resume if he questions my quirk?
"Where do you live, Izuku? Is it around here?" he asks.
I look up. Wait...where am I? I start to freak out.
"Hey, hey it's okay, you must be lost. Do you know your parents phone number, we can call them! First let's go to the police station there's one just right over here!" He suggests.
I nod again. The street is so full, he grabs my hand and I feel safe. Maybe, thinks will turn out okay. The background noise starts to return.
"So, why were you crying?" he questions.
I felt my heart being pierced once again, "Oh...uh...well I don't have a...quirk..."I mumbled out.
It was silent for a bit, but he didn't let go of my hand. Does he hate me?
"Izuku it's okay that you don't have a quirk, you're special in your own way!" Tomura comforted me.
Tomura's (8 year-old) POV
"Thank-you, do you have a quirk?" he asks. This question stings, I don't want to remember what I did. I've been reborn. He can too.
"Oh...yeah," I hesitated.
"Are you going to become a hero? I wanted to be a hero, but the world isn't going to allow that," he says looking down.
A hero... don't make me laugh. They are good for nothing, they are all fake. When I was hurt no one was there for me except him. I squeezed his hand kinda of hard.
"I don't want to be a hero, Izuku. I think they are all there just for fame, non of them are real heroes. I didn't mean to squeeze your hand so hard," I scoffed coldly.
"Oh no, that's okay!" he said with a smile.
The rest of the walk was in silence, but we did eventually make it to the police station. I was anxious. I'm on their missing person list. I've been hidden so far, I can't let this defeat me. I'll just have to end our conversation when we get there. He'd make a wonderful villain. I just have to show him, other people that will be there for him. Once we're both older I'll bring you along with me, for now you still seem to hold onto hope. We reached the station quickly.
"We're here! I do have to leave you now though Izuku. I'm sorry," I tell him. I can't risk being caught, not now when I found a family.
"Aren't you going inside?" he asks.
"Oh no, I can't my parents are waiting for me, I'm a little late?" I lie.
"That makes sense, thank-you for cheering me up and taking me here! Will I be able to see you again?" he asks.
" Of course! Don't worry, I know we'll meet again very soon," I reassure him. With that I take my leave. I turn to see him waving. I wave back.
Deku's (still four) POV
Well...now that he's gone, the assurance I just felt is all gone. I start to tear up, realizing I've been left once again. I walk into the police station crying. An officer comes up to me, and I sputter out everything to her. My mom arrives a short while later, and I go home. She tells me, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," over and over again. Which hurts me even more. I didn't know it was possible for a heart to fall apart again. But it did. I think I might just die from heartbreak.
No-One's POV
(Quick side note: I'm too lazy to write out all of this, but it's just a bit of a time jump.)
The years up to eighth grade, Izuku and Tomura, became close friends. Izuku was able to see Tomura every so often. But each time Tomura looked more and more rugged, but he was still the same sweet person that Izuku knew. His mother never knew about Tomura, but she was fine without knowing. Kachan continued with his relentless bullying on him. This didn't stop Izuku from writing down facts about the current hero, and analyzing their every move. Of course, Tomura was interested in seeing his notes. To everyone's surprise, the villains won a few major battles, thank's to help of his notes. Izuku still held the hope of being a hero. He vowed to find a way no matter what, but he was going to try to get into the regular course at U.A. That was his new goal.
