A Faint Light

First Day Part #3

Deku's POV

           That sorta hurt. I slowly start to open my eyes. I start to look and I see.. Ice? huh.  Where did the ice come from? My eyes follow the trail to the starting point, then I see him. A boy with a scar running across his face with red and white hair. He looks so majestic standing there. He has to be in the hero course. He just has to.

"Thank-you so much!!" I start saying over and over again.

"No problem," he says as he starts to walk off. 

Red and white hair boy's POV

"Wait! Please one moment!" I hear the boy with messy green hair say.

How annoying...I just want to leave and eat my lunch in peace. I only did it, because I didn't want to see him hurt. It was an accident that I stayed this long, I  shouldn't have went this way. Wait. I stop.

"My name is Izuku Midoriya, thanks for saving me! It means a lot," he says looking up at me.

Wait, why is his face so puffy? He's still crying. I'm not good with this. But why has he been crying so much?  Oh well...It's not my problem. I don't have to be friendly.

"Midoriya, I wish to go eat my lunch in peace now. So, I will take my leave, good day," I coldly state.

I could hear the sniffles, I think he's still crying. I can hear the rustling as he wipes his tears away. 

"Oh...okay, may I know your name hero?" he asks.

My eyes widen, huh. Hero? He thinks I'm a hero?There must be some sorta of mistake. Who is Midoriya? I turn around to face him. Maybe I should tell him...

"My name is Shoto Todoroki," I tell him.

I could see his face light up, he probably knows who my father is that's why his face lite up. Just when I thought he was different.  He scrambles to get up on his feet. And he pulls from his bag, a...burnt notebook?  Why is it burnt? What is he planning? He's probably gonna ask me to ask my father to sign it. I'll have to reject that.

"I'm sorry but-" I start to say, but I'm quickly cut off!

"Can I have your autograph Todoroki??" he asks.

EHHHHH!!!!!! What!? He wants mine? But why? Nope this has to be a joke. It looks like his tears have dried up a little. 

"Uhh..."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I write down a bunch of notes about all the heroes I meet or watch. And I'm gonna start a page about you!!! So, may I have your autograph Todoroki???" he asks again.

Is he saying me or my fathers? I'm so confused. He's obviously talking about my father "Todoroki" not my "Todoroki."

"I'm sorry I can't give you my father's autograph, he doesn't like signing," I tell him.

He starts to laugh, what's so funny?

"Shoto, I'm not asking about your father. I want YOUR signature, not your fathers. Your father isn't the one who saved me, you did!" he tells me.

Wait...my signature. He's serious.  Not my fathers. I could feel my eyes widen once again, and a small smile creeps across my face. I walk over. Wow. 

"Thank-you Midoriya. But this power isn't mine, half of it is his and the other half is my mothers," I start to tell him.

He looks at me confused. Why is he so confused? He did stop crying though, what's going on? Is this a prank or something?
